The farewell tour “AERO-VEDERCI BABY! TOUR” is rumored to “continue forever”. The latest and best live album & video set is now available. This work contains the “Norje performance on June 8, 2017”. It is a performance at the outdoor festival “SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2017”. This festival already boasts a 26-year tradition, but this is AEROSMITH’s third appearance in seven years, following 2007 and 2010. Of course, it is part of the “AERO-VEDERCI BABY! TOUR”. They plan to spend the summer in Europe and do a mini tour of South America in the fall. We have already delivered the tour report board “MOSCOW 2017 (Shades 741)” to our shop, but while there were three Moscow performances, this work is the eighth performance. This is a three-disc set with the full audience recording on discs 1-2 and the audience shots on disc 3. The quality of this work is special. First of all, discs 1-2 are full live albums, and the sound is really wonderful. The real applause will definitely be an audience recording, but the on sound is extremely thick, showing off the performance of the latest digital equipment. The scene is a huge festival that Sweden is proud of, but the balance is that the vast enthusiasm is far and small, and the thick performance and singing voice roar super close. The detailed recording position is not known, but it was probably (or rather, absolutely) recorded directly from a PA away from the stage. The zero sense of distance makes it feel like you are standing in front of the speaker. Moreover, combined with the open feeling of zero echo that is unique to outdoor festivals, it is a straight-ball sound like an FM broadcast. And the video version of Disc 3 is also amazing. In terms of type, it is a one-camera audience shot, but that is simply “not connected by a line”. It was released on the net TV “DECIBEL GEEK”, and it is a shot from the very front of the stage. Moreover, the line of sight is the same height as the members on the stage, and there are no obstructions such as other spectators. It is almost one angle of a professional shot. And the camera thoroughly holds Steven Tyler. In the solo scenes, Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton take over, but even so, the members are shown in close-up. This shot keeps Stephen, who is rampaging almost all over the stage, in the center of the screen. Of course, the sound is also suitable for that direct view. It is almost not as good as Disc 1-2, which is like FM broadcasting, but this is also not an average audience sound. Unfortunately, it is an incomplete recording with about six songs missing (only “Dream On” is supplemented with a different angle), but still, 13 of the 19 songs can be fully enjoyed from the best perspective. The latest show depicted in such a live album and video is full of AEROSMITH rock and roll in great shape! The third performance, “MOSCOW 2017”, was a bit of a test run, but this work is full-power operation with the engine fully warmed up. The set has also changed slightly, and instead of “Crazy” and “Jaded”, “Janie’s Got A Gun”, “Mama Kin”, “Back In The Saddle” and “Mother Popcorn” have been added. Not only is the volume increased, but the 70s has been added, creating a more historical mood. Although the tour is now only a nominal “FAREWELL”, it is a dignified rock and roll show that could be the last. At first, I was shocked by the word “FAREWELL”, but now Joe says, “In 2020, it will be the 50th anniversary of the formation. I want to witness it,” and AEROSMITH is relieved. They don’t suit the last business method, and they don’t suit disbanding or retirement. It is a superb 3-disc set filled with only the best rock and roll that suits them.
