Description
Ace Frehley, the only remaining active KISS originator, released his new album “10,000 VOLTS” on the 50th anniversary of his debut. His latest video is set to be released. This work contains two audience shots from the shipboard event “MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE”. This is a coupling of “March 3, 2024 performance (5 songs)” and “March 5, 2024 performance (11 songs in full)”. In order to get to know Ace’s current situation, let’s first take a look at his current activities and check the position of this work.・January 25-27: US #1 (3 shows) {February 23rd release of “10,000 VOLTS”}・March 3rd + 5th: MOR Cruise appearance ←★Here★・March 28th – April 13th: US #2 (5 shows)・June 28th + 29th: US #3 (2 shows)・August 10th – September 6th: US #4 (3 shows)This is the schedule for 2024 that has been announced so far. The new work “10,000 VOLTS” was released in the same week 50 years after KISS’ debut (“KISS” was released on February 18th, 1974, and “10,000 VOLTS” on February 23rd, 2024), but the participation in this work’s “MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE” was also shortly after that. This event involved about 40 bands and audiences boarding a cruise ship, and concerts were held at various locations on the ship during the six-day tour. Ace also performed on two stages as a member of the group. This work contains a digest video of the first day (March 3rd) and a full video of the second day (March 5th). Let’s take a look at each video individually. First half: A digest video of the spectacular view of the first day (about 26 minutes: 5 songs) Love Gun: Shock Me / Love Gun Others: New York Groove / Cold Gin / Rock And Roll All Nite (first day only) First up is a spectacular shot of the first day (March 3rd). It was shot from the front seats on the right side of the stage (about the fifth row), but what’s surprising is the height of the viewpoint. It’s so high that you would think it would be a second-floor stand at a normal venue, and it’s not much different from Ace on stage. You can look directly at the stage, passing far above the heads of the front audience, and see all the highlights without any obstructions. It seems possible to hold the camera high if it’s just the height, but this video is skillful even in the camera work. If you pull it back as much as you can, you can see the entire stage, but the zoom that approaches from there is so bold that Ace’s best shots are out of the screen. Moreover, even if you follow the highlights to the left and right with that close-up, the sense of stability is unshakable. Such a beautiful image depicts a stage where KISS’s masterpieces are also delicious. Although it is a digest of only five songs, “Rock And Roll All Nite” is a high point. The second half of this work is the full video of the second day, but it is a delicious song that was not performed there. Second half: Full video of the second day (about 66 minutes: 11 songs) ・Messenger from Hell: Cold Gin / Deuce ・Army of Hell: Detroit Rock City / Shout It Out Loud ・Love Gun: Shock Me / Love Gun ・78 Solo: New York Groove / Rip It Out ・Others: Parasite / 10,000 Volts (new song) / Rocket Ride The second half is a complete video of the second day (March 5th). It is not only a full show recording, but also a spectacular view that can be fully grasped in the sense of “overlooking the entire stage”. The key to that “overview” is the view that captures the entire stage from one end to the other. It is shot from the back of the venue, but it is looking straight ahead at the center of the stage as if it was measured with a ruler, and it is beautifully captured from end to end. And it does not move at all from that viewpoint. There is no zoom, no chasing the highlights, and everything is recorded at a fixed angle. There is no proof, but this video may have been shot by someone involved. The slightly downward-looking perspective makes it seem more appropriate to say that it was shot from a venue camera rather than from the audience, and the completely fixed shooting method does not give the impression of fan psychology. What you can witness in this complete video is a full show that is overwhelmed by the rush of KISS’s masterpieces. The only new song is “10,000 Volts”, and the rest is a rush of 70’s masterpieces. In addition to the above, there are also song titles such as “God Of Thunder”, “Dazed And Confused”, and “Love Her All I Can”, but these are jams that play with riffs. Seven years have passed since Peter Criss’ retirement, and the original KISS has finished its last tour and become an avatar. Ace is the only originator who can play KISS numbers in the flesh. This is a spectacular video that allows you to experience the latest stage of the 50th anniversary of their debut as soon as possible. ACE FREHLEY – MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE 2024 solo video released.
