Description

Seven years have passed since the restart with Mark Tornillo. Who would have expected that ACCEPT would be so active for so long and at such a high level? They have surpassed the “new golden age” and are now in their prime. Their latest live album, slamming their powerful metal, is here! Since “BLOOD OF THE NATIONS”, they have been steadily coming to Japan for their album releases. This time, in addition to Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, they also performed in Fukuoka, demonstrating their enduring popularity. This work includes the performance of “September 12, 2017: Umeda Club Quattro”. First, let’s check the show position from this Japan schedule. ・September 10: Fukuoka DRUM LOGOS ・September 12: Umeda Club Quattro [This work] ・September 13: Nagoya Bottom Line ・September 14: Nakano Sunplaza [Ultimate metal sound by a master] The biggest point of this work is the abnormally high-quality sound that is the ultimate. Anyway, it’s amazing! Of course, when it comes to “Osaka, metal, and super high quality sound,” there is no one else who can record it. This is a work by Mr. “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper,” who is familiar to us at our store. In fact, he is a music enthusiast, but his core is definitely “heavy metal.” Moreover, the scene was “Umeda Club Quattro,” which is also his backyard. It is a venue that has produced countless masterpieces and masterpieces, and the sound spots, equipment settings, and customer base are all experience MAX. There is no way that the recording that makes full use of that know-how can be bad. In fact, even before listening to it, I thought “It must be amazing…”, but it was really amazing (laughs). I couldn’t help but add “(laughs)”, but it seems that humans can’t help but laugh when they are confronted with something too amazing. I knew it in advance and was prepared for it, but it was still “amazing”… There is no sound in the venue, and the straight-forward musical sound seems to be a soundboard directly connected to the table, the thickness of the thick rhythm section’s hatchet, the picking comes to mind, and the roughness of Mark’s sandpaper voice can be felt at the particle level with fine details. The powerful bass, the vibrato of the chorus of the man’s voice is clear. And yet, the lively applause rises up like steam…it’s just amazing. As the “strongest” man who has produced a series of masterpieces, I can’t easily say “This is the best!”, but I want to say it. No one would get angry if I did. Because there is no way there could be a better sound in heavy metal…it’s an abnormal recording of that dimension. [Now is the heyday of the hammer live] The show depicted in such a sound is raw steel that spills over with the spirit of steel and spreads all over the floor. I don’t know what I’m writing anymore, but it’s that heavy metal! The guitar is dignified to the end, the rhythm drives a wedge into the soul, the metallic voice accompanied by the manly chorus… Each is unique. Uwe Lewis and Christopher Williams are so solid that it’s hard to believe they are new members. Christopher’s performance in particular is overwhelming. No, it’s not a ferocious number of moves like a thrash band. Rather, the opposite. ACCEPT has an image of being the “incarnation of metal,” but their true nature is more like AC/DC. The grating voice and chorus are one thing, but more than that, the groove of the rhythm is what’s important. It’s not a hectic drumming with a double bass drum, but each beat hits the five organs and shakes the six viscera with deep bass. To be honest, at first I was underestimating him, thinking, “He’s an American drummer…”, but Christopher drew out a wonderful groove. The “hammer beat” that is different from that of ordinary metal bands explodes throughout the entire album! Ultra-high quality sound and a performance at its peak. That alone is enough to fill me up, but this work still won’t let me. The set is also the best. This time, the album is centered around five songs from the masterpiece “THE RISE OF CHAOS,” and includes a lineup of super-famous songs from the 1980s and reorganization era. Of course, there are also familiar songs that make you want to sing along (not allowed in the car!), but the rare songs are also delicious. The new song “The Rise Of Chaos” will be performed worldwide on this day (!), and “Objection Overruled,” which has been revived for the first time in almost 24 years, will also be performed. These two songs are also the coolest…. Just steel. Just a hammer. To be honest, ACCEPT is not a band that makes a big fuss about being “the best-selling No. 1!” Still, when you hear the super high-quality sound and amazing live performance so far, you can’t help but press it. ACCEPT, who has been at the peak of their popularity for 32 years since their first visit to Japan, the Japanese metalheads who continue to love them, and the recording artists with a steel soul… With all my heartfelt respect, I have decided to keep it here forever! ★Finally, one more digression. This alone is the best and strongest live album, but in fact, this work has a sister work. It is DIRKSCHNEIDER’s “STAYING A LIFE AGAIN”. It is a live album by Udo Dirkschneider, who came to Japan in May last year, and all the songs are ACCEPT. It is the same winning formula as this work, “Umeda Club Quattro” + “Strongest”, and it is a work that explodes with a super high quality sound that is not inferior to this work. Please enjoy “two ACCEPTs” together. Live at Umeda Club Quattro, Osaka, Japan 12th September 2017 TRULY PERFECT/ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (56:00) 1. Intro 2. Die by the Sword 3.
