Two unreleased songs that particularly catch my attention are “I Am An A” and “Get On The Carousel.” Both of these songs are not just for fun, but are masterpieces with solid lyrics and arrangements, and were sung throughout 1977. Although it didn’t end up being an official recording, the idea was later reused. “I Am An A” is part of “I Know Him So Well” from the musical “CHESS” by Benny and Bjorn, and “Get On The Carousel” was written for “THE GIRL WITH THE GOLDEN HAIR”. The chorus became the melody line of “Hole in Your Soul” (incidentally, “Get On The Carousel” can also be seen in “ABBA: THE MOVIE”).
