Led Zeppelin FL,USA 1977 Multi-Source Edition & more

This definitive release captures the June 3, 1977 Tampa, Florida concert, featuring five different recordings and rare audio sources such as television reports! Every Led Zeppelin fan must own this historic recording. The concert was cut short due to torrential rain, enraging fans and escalating into a riot. Injuries and arrests continued, turning Black Sunday into Black Friday. This collection of recordings vividly conveys the events of that day! The set began with “The Song Remains The Same,” followed by “Sick Again” and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine,” but was interrupted after only three songs due to a fierce thunderstorm. The concert was subsequently cancelled, making it one of the most historic and memorable performances of the 1977 US tour. The official website’s concert records also confirm the performance of these three songs and the show’s cancellation due to rain (Led Zeppelin official website). The biggest selling point of this release, ‘BLACK FRIDAY for at the Tampa Stadium’, is that it compiles this short performance from multiple different recording sources. Rather than simply repeating the same three songs, this release offers a highly informative structure for enthusiasts, allowing them to compare and enjoy the different soundscapes and sense of presence from each source. Documentation also confirms that this title exists as an EVSD disc containing multiple audience sources. CD1 of Argentumastrum contains Sources 1-3. Focusing on “The Song Remains The Same,” “Sick Again,” and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine,” Sources 1 and 3 include the crowd noise and cancellation announcement at the end of the show. The tense atmosphere in the venue when the sudden cancellation was announced is also captured. CD2 contains Sources 4 and 5. As a bonus, it also includes TV Reports 1-3 covering this performance, and excerpts from an interview with Jimmy Page discussing the cancellation. It’s more than just a collection of live recordings; it allows you to trace the events of that day through multiple records. The performance began in front of an audience of approximately 70,000 people, but was interrupted about 20 minutes later by a thunderstorm. Records from the time show also show the chaos that ensued at the venue following the cancellation announcement. This documentary-style 2CD set thoroughly records the legendary Tampa concert, which ended after only three songs—a stark contrast to the usual full-length live shows of the 1977 US tour. In addition to multiple audio tracks, it includes the cancellation announcement, news footage and audio, and even an interview with Jimmy Page, making it a must-have title for Led Zeppelin collectors.
