Keith Jarrett/France 06.29.979

This Paris solo concert from 1979, when Keith Jarrett was at the peak of his creativity on the European stage, beautifully combines the mature lyricism characteristic of the late 70s with the tension inherent in improvisation, creating a transparent soundscape reminiscent of ECM recordings. Melodies filled with deep lyricism, dynamism that erupts from delicate touches, and rich resonance in every note—the immersive experience that makes you feel as if you can sense the Parisian night air as you listen is the pinnacle of solo piano expression. This precious live performance allows you to fully appreciate the inspiration unique to 1979, hinting at the golden age that followed from “Sun Bear Concerts” to “Staircase.” A gem of a night where silence and passion intertwine, a must-have for all Keith Jarrett lovers.
