Description
This release features a full 1 hour and 24 minute recording of the opening night of Beck’s 2016 North American tour, specifically the July 19th show in Port Chester, New York, which was leaked by someone involved at the time. This is a soundboard recording directly from the mixing console, recently released by staff from that era. While it lacks some of the live atmosphere, it is completely unprocessed and unedited, allowing Beck’s guitar to sound authentic and raw, with the subtle nuances of his fingertips and tremolo arm directly conveyed. The setlist centers around the six tracks from “LOUD HAILER,” with the rest being a comprehensive overview of his career up to that point. In particular, a new song featuring Rosie Bones’ husky vocals intertwined with Beck’s guitar was exclusive to this tour and remained a permanent part of his repertoire, never to be performed again.
