This release features a nearly complete recording of the final show of their 2014 North American tour accompanying the release of “Jamalot Ever After,” specifically the September 20th performance in Port Chester, New York, using a soundboard recording leaked by someone involved at the time. This soundboard recording, which was recently released by staff members at the time and directly connected to the mixing console, may lack some of the live atmosphere, but because it is completely unprocessed and unedited, Fagen’s vocals, as well as the guitars and horns, resonate with a realistic, live sound, and the subtle nuances of the band’s ensemble are conveyed directly. Fans will be delighted to hear this live performance, which mainly consists of representative numbers from their golden age of the 70s and 80s, on a soundboard recording, and there are also some set changes in the middle of the show due to it being a consecutive performance.
