To celebrate the release of the Super Deluxe Edition of “4” in 2025, the band kicked off their new “4 Deluxe Tour” in the US on December 3rd. The third day, December 6th, saw the full performance in Staten Island, New York, captured via digital audience recording. Kelly Hansen, who had fronted the band for the past 20 years, will be leaving the band at the end of the 2025 Summer Tour. He will be replaced by Luis Maldonado, who joined the band in 2021. The farewell tour was also canceled, leading to this tour. While Mick Jones has been absent from the tour due to Parkinson’s disease, the original members will be absent from the band since 2022, original vocalist Lou Gramm makes a noteworthy guest appearance on five tracks, singing classic hits from “4” and the 70s and 80s. As an added bonus, three songs from the performance at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony have been added, and in addition to Slash and Chad Smith, original members Lou, Al Greenwood, Rick Wills and others also participate in “I Want to Know What Love Is,” so fans of the past should definitely check it out.
