Many of you may have already heard it, but it is a masterpiece that is full of the ultimate jazz unique to the Mehldau Trio, from Mehldau’s originals to Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Elmo Hope, Sam Rivers, and American standard numbers. With this new album under their belt, the Mehldau Trio immediately began touring, and on July 29, 2018, they held a fantastic live performance at the traditional Marciac Jazz Festival in Chapiteau, France.
