The latest full-length item from Hyde Park on July 5, 1969, a must-have for Stones fans, is here. First of all, the Stones’ vintage title “HYDE PARK JULY 1969”, which old fans may recognize from the jacket, is a recording of a Hyde Park performance released by the American Contraband Records in 1972 with a good audience sound source. This title uses the mono audience sound source used on that CBM LP, and contains good quality from the opening to “MIDNIGHT RAMBLER”, and this is the first time that this sound source has been released on a full-length CD. And what is particularly noteworthy is the quality, which is astonishingly clear for a 1969 audience sound source, and although it was not highly evaluated in the original LP era, it was recorded directly from the broadcast master that remained at the radio station this time. This was aired as a special program on the Dutch pirate radio station Radio Veronica on July 15, 1969, and the recording of this program was used in CBM’s “HYDE PARK JULY 1969.” For this CD release, the tape that was left on Radio Veronica was used to directly record the CD, resulting in a significant improvement in quality. Since it was not an official broadcasting station, the Stones. Although the sound from the side was not provided by the line feed, it was recorded from a position quite close to the stage, and it can be said that the sound is almost the same as the balance of the venue PA output. Another major point is that it includes “MIDNIGHT RAMBLER,” which was not included in the LP era, and that all the intervals between the songs from the opening to “MIDNIGHT RAMBLER” are recorded uncut, with only one cut at the beginning of “LOVING CUP.” Therefore, you can hear the scene where Mick stops Charlie who started to beat the rhythm of “DOWN HOME GIRL” before “I’M FREE” and starts playing “I’M FREE”, as well as the original MC that was edited and shortened in the line sound source. The last three tracks are also Hyde Park performance songs that were aired on the radio, recorded from a different source, and this is the first time this sound source has appeared in Japan. Furthermore, disc:2 is a soundboard sound source that was also recorded on the DAC label “BRIAN, COME BACK YOU BASTARD”, which was aired on FM radio in later years, but in the previous release, “ADONAIS” and “JUMPING JACK FLASH” were brought to the top to make it easier to listen to, but this time it starts with “MERCY MERCY” according to the song order when it was aired in 1979. Another point is that the mastering has been newly done and the recording time is about 20 seconds longer in total. disc 1 : 1. Eulogy For Brian (Adonais) 2. I’m Yours And I’m Hers 3.
