Description
A superb live album born from the “nightmare of 2009” is here. The biggest point of this work is the superb sound that is “number 1 in the entire history of AEROSMITH”, but let’s look back at the situation at that time. Anyway, AEROSMITH in 2009 was not lucky. The beginning of the miso started in January of the new year. Their first Venezuela performance was planned, but Joe Perry canceled it due to a knee infection. After that, ZZ TOP announced their first tour in two years, but Brad Whitford hit his head when getting out of the car and injured himself. He had to have surgery and was forced to leave before the tour started. The tour started without Brad, but after about seven shows, Steven Tyler injured his foot and the tour was suspended. During the two-week rest, Tom Hamilton had surgery on his foot and left for recuperation. The tour resumed without Tom…or so we thought, but Steven fell off the stage again and was seriously injured. In the end, the tour was canceled… It was a series of unlucky events that ended up being long even though I’m just summarizing it briefly. Let’s summarize briefly. January: Joe’s knee infection → February 1st: Venezuela performance canceled March: Steven’s pneumonia June: Brad’s head injury June 10th-28th: Brad’s absence (7 performances) ←★Here★ June 28th: Steven’s leg injury → Tour suspended: 7 performances canceled July: Tom’s leg surgery July 15th-August 5th: Tom’s absence (8 performances) August 5th: Steven falls off the stage → Tour canceled: 20 performances canceled October 14th-November 1st: Return (4 performances) These are the live activities in 2009. Initially, the tour was planned to include South America, Europe, and Japan, but in the end, only 15 performances in North America were included. The tour was canceled due to the far greater number of cancellations. After that, four shows with all five members were held in October and November, but the feud exploded at once after the breakup news was released. Joe entered a crisis that led to him declaring, “Looking for a new singer!” … It was a season that could only be described as a “nightmare,” but in the midst of all of this, this work was recorded at the “June 21, 2009 Bristow Performance.” It is an audience album that contains the fourth of the first seven performances that Brad was absent from. [AEROSMITH’s history number 1 super high quality] Unlucky and not even Brad. Audience recording from such a messy period. It is of superb sound quality, without a doubt. Anyway, it is intense. It is definitely a recording from the audience because it was handed over directly from the recorder himself, but it is not just “like a sound board” but “like an official”. The thick and meaty musical sound really seems to be playing the official version. On top of that, the real enthusiasm and elegant atmosphere of the first tour in two years is slightly floating. Usually, the official version is made rich by adding various processing to a bland sound board that has been recorded, but this work realizes that “rich feeling” with on-site sound. This recording artist is a world-known master, but even with him, this dimension is miraculous. I said earlier that it was “just like the official”, but the natural 100% “rich feeling” is more than official. It is a superb board that is one in a million, with “an audience beyond the official” and “the number one in the history of AEROSMITH”. [Near-miss reproduction of the great masterpiece “TOYS IN THE ATTIC”] The show drawn with such quality is also not ordinary. Brad’s pinch hitter Bobby Schneck is not very famous, but he is skilled enough to be selected as Slash’s backing band. Although it is solid, he gives a performance that is so good that you forget Brad’s absence, and the original four also give a passionate performance that makes you enjoy the road for the first time in two years. After “Jaded”, they celebrated Joey Kramer’s birthday, and the mood was full of greatness, with no idea of the misfortune that would come in the future. However, the set list was even better than that. This tour is often talked about as a series of misfortunes, but it should have been recorded and remembered in a different way. It was a reproduction show of the great masterpiece “TOYS IN THE ATTIC”. The reproduction took place in the middle of the show. In “Combination”, which was revived for the first time in about 30 years, Joe took the lead vocals as a surprise, and the venue was excited, and then “Toys In The Attic” started as usual. However, after that, rare songs such as “Uncle Salty” and “Adam’s Apple” continued. Unfortunately, the final song “You See Me Crying” was not played (the only time it was completely reproduced was at Jones Beach on June 28th. “You See Me Crying” was only performed that one time), but the rest of the songs were reproduced in the order of the masterpiece. “Round And Round”, which will be released for the first time on this tour, can also be enjoyed with a superb sound. Despite the unlucky timing, there are plenty of things to listen to, such as the rare arrangement, the revival of “Combination”, and the near-miss reproduction of a great album. All of this is a live album depicted with a transcendent sound that is “number one in AEROSMITH history”. Someone has to preserve such a masterpiece forever. This is a work filled with such feelings. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content. Live at Nissan Pavilion, Bristow, Virginia, USA 21st June 2009 ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1(47:59) 01. Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 02.
