Description

The word “New Millennium” is now a nostalgic one. A superb professional shot that gives you a full feel of the atmosphere of that era, which has already been 18 years ago, has been decided to be released. This work is here in Japan. This is a multi-camera professional shot of the “December 31, 1999: Osaka Dome performance”, which was just about to welcome the new millennium. At this time, AEROSMITH was on a Japan tour spanning the year. First, let’s look back at the schedule at that time. [1999] December 29: Osaka Dome December 31: Osaka Dome ★ This work [2000] January 2: Nagoya Dome January 4: Fukuoka Dome January 6 + 7: Tokyo Dome It was a magnificent dome tour, but especially on New Year’s Eve, they led BUCKCHERRY and MR. BIG in a countdown live. This work is a recording of that TV broadcast. The quality is… there’s no point in saying more than four or five. The mix, camera work, picture quality, and sound quality are all perfect and official. Even the station’s spirit of taking the channel away from the Red and White Song Battle is exuded, and it could be officially released as it is… or rather, it’s a wonderful video work that I would love to see released. The show depicted with such quality is also so special that I would like it to be officially preserved. The gorgeous stage set at the height of its popularity, the greatest hits covering both the 70s and the GEFFEN era, the spectacle of the Osaka Dome turning into a huge field of rocket balloons… everything is amazing, but the best part of a countdown live is even more than that. It seems that the show started 20 minutes late on the day, and at that point the careful time adjustment to midnight was ruined. From the middle of the show, they played one famous song after another in rapid succession as if to rewind, and the show heated up more and more. Eventually they even started playing “Chip Away The Stone”, which was not on the schedule. At the time, fans who were watching the broadcast lined up with their watches were preparing for the countdown around “Mama Kin”, but AEROSMITH just started “Train Kept A Rollin'”. “Hey, what are you going to do when it’s a once in a millennium thing?” they were worried, but “Train Kept A Rollin'” ended at 11:59:37pm. With 23 seconds left, Steven Tyler called out “Sumimasen!” in Japanese to invite the countdown, and they made it in time! A horde of balloon rockets blew up in a flash, and Steven shouted “Happy new year!!” A waterfall of balloons flowed in, and a huge confetti blew up like a geyser. The members’ families also appeared on stage and exchanged hugs, and the mood was full of “We did it!”. Even though it was a calculation by a hundred battles veteran, it was still a great hit. This is a highlight that makes you realize how much they had at the time. This work doesn’t end there. After “Full Circle”, a chorus of birthday songs occurs for Tom Hamilton, whose birthday is New Year’s Eve. And the precious ZEP cover “Heartbreaker” jumps out at the big last! A passionate performance in its prime, a too luxurious greatest hits, a venue spectacle full of era feeling… It is a masterpiece pro shot that is luxurious and gorgeous as a single music software, but the pleasure that this work gives you is not just that. If you get this work, please press the play button at 22:25:15. And I would like you to put the clock next to you and watch each song with a sense of urgency. A show that heats up towards the new millennium, and a miracle highlight. Live at Osaka Dome, Osaka, Japan 31st December 1999 PRO-SHOT 1. Intro 2. Eat The Rich 3.
