Description
After Chichee’s performance of the rare masterpiece “Another Standard,” the band included David Kikoski on piano, bassist Ed Howard, who also played with Chris Potter and the John Di Martino Romantic Jazz Trio, and This was a live performance at the Currie Jazz Festival, where the quartet included Manhattan Jazz Quintet member and jazz legend Victor Ruiz on drums. It starts with the Beatles’ famous song “Michelle”, followed by the standard classic “You, the Night, and the Music”, and the third song is “Someone to Watch”, which is a famous song but was not included in the album “More Standard”. “Over Me” and the sound of Bob Berg’s tenor and Kikosky’s beautiful piano show off a play full of sensitivity that cannot be expressed in a studio recording. Bob Berg’s standard live performance is better than I expected. In addition, there is a broadcast announcement in the middle of “I Could Write a Book” recorded at the end, and that part has been edited with a fade. Thank you for your understanding.
