Description
While “PUMP” was a big hit, AEROSMITH appeared on “MTV UNPLUGGED”, which was still a hot new show. The complete pro shot will be released. This work was filmed on August 11, 1990 in New York City. This is a multi-camera pro shot. “MTV UNPLUGGED” is a legendary music program that produced countless great performances and masterpieces and created a huge boom. It started in November 1989, and AEROSMITH appeared less than a year ago. As mentioned at the beginning, they were in the middle of the “PUMP Tour” at the time. In order to get an idea of the era, let’s start by taking a bird’s-eye view of their activities at the time. 1989 (September 12th release of “Pump”) October 18th – November 26th: Europe #1 (26 shows) December 15th – 31st: North America #1a (10 shows) ←※LANDOVER 1989 1990 January 1st – March 31st: North America #1b (45 shows) April 17th – May 28th: North America #2 (28 shows) June 17th – July 28th: North America #3 (29 shows) August 11th: MTV Unplugged appearance ←★This work★ August 15th – September 3rd: Europe #2 (10 shows) ←※MARQUEE 199 September 8: Las Vegas performance September 12-22: Japan (7 performances) September 29-October 15: Australia (8 performances) This is AEROSMITH in 1989/1990. He appeared on “MTV UNPLUGGED” after a big US tour with 112 performances. It was also just before he went on his second European tour. This work, which teaches us such a legendary program, is a professional shot with a beautiful sense of stability. Although it is an analog image quality with a rounded feel due to the era, it cannot be said to be official class by modern digital standards. On the other hand, the master freshness that has jumped over 35 years of time and space is wonderful, there is almost no stiffness, white line noise, or tracking noise, and it is glossy to every corner of the screen. Even more wonderful is Soundboard audio. This is a beauty that can be called “completely official grade”, with no jiggly noise and vivid details. Although it is a multi-camera pro shot until this work is grasped, it is a beautiful sound that can be used even if it is made into a live album of only audio. What is drawn with such quality is a special performance that replaces the peak band potential with unplugged. It will show 13 songs in about 87 minutes, so let’s check the selection here. 70’s Classics (9 songs) Beast Birth: One Way Street/Dream On/Walkin’ the Dog・Fly! Aerosmith: Seasons Of Wither/Train Kept a Rollin’・Dark Night Heavy Rock: Big Ten Inch Record/Toys in the Attic・Others: Milk Cow Blues/Last Child Others (4 songs)・Geffen Era: Hangman Jury/Monkey On My Back・Cover: Love Me Two Times (★)/Smokestack Lightning (★) *Note: ★ marks rare songs unique to this period. …And so it goes. At the time, “PUMP” was a big hit, but the only new song was “Monkey On My Back”. Most of the album was focused on 70’s classics. Among them, two covers are extremely rare. They cover “Love Me Two Times” by THE DOORS and “Smokestack Lightning” by Howlin’ Wolf. Both were repertoires at the time, but “Smokestack Lightning” in particular is an extremely rare song that has only been confirmed once on “MTV UNPLUGGED”. Unplugged strips away the power of the electric and reveals the true value and essence of the band. It was the perfect show for AEROSMITH. This is a record that allows you to fully experience the rich performance that would have been a huge hit if it had been made into an official live album at the time. A complete pro shot of the legendary show has been released. Of course, it is analog image quality, but the noiseless master freshness is wonderful and the soundboard sound is of the highest quality. You can enjoy a delicious acoustic gig with a super rare cover. Live at Ed Sullivan Studios, New York City, NY, USA 11th August 1990 PRO-SHOT(with Time Counter) 1. Intro 2. Hangman Jury 3.
