Description
TNT made their first visit to Japan in 1989 with the iconic Nordic metal album “INTUITION.” A phantom official video that allows you to witness the moment when it reached the peak of its popularity is now available. This work was filmed on August 17, 1989: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall. This is the official video work “FOREVER SHINE ON JAPAN LIVE” produced at the scene. This video was truly a must-see masterpiece for fans. It was not released at that time, but in 1992, when the second (and disbanded) performance in Japan was held, but unlike “THREE NIGHTS IN TOKYO”, it created the famous album “INTUITION”. The four members (+ support keyboardist, the late Doug Stokke) are together, and the set is a big hit from “INTUITION”. Of course, I was able to witness a wonderful show with multi-camera professional shots that did not make me feel the slightest dissolution in the near future. However, due to the nature of the video work at the time, it was quickly discontinued. Since then, it has not been officially released on DVD, and the official boot produced overseas has suffered from poor quality. This work is a DVD of such lost treasure footage from the best master. Furthermore, it is the definitive video work of the “Golden Age TNT” with a bonus bonus of promo clips from that time. Well, first of all, let’s look back at the position of the main show from the schedule at that time. ・August 12: Shibuya Public Hall ・August 14: Postal Insurance Hall ・August 15: Kawasaki City Industrial and Cultural Center ・August 17: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall ←★This work★ ・August 18: Every day Hall/August 19th: Aichi Prefectural Labor Hall, 6 performances in total. Roughly speaking, the concert went from Tokyo to Osaka to Nagoya, and the Shinjuku performance of this work was the final day of the Kanto performance. And the quality is truly superb. Since the original is an official work, it is natural that it is completely official, but the master freshness is also the best. There is no signs of aging or tape twisting, and there is no distortion at the edges of the screen, which is said to be the fate of VHS masters. The quality is so perfect that it was even released on DVD as “INTUITION 25TH ANNIVERSARY”. It is a DVD version of the best existing master. The visual beauty depicts a Nordic metal utopia that feels like the masterpiece “INTUITION” coming to life. The live part of the main part is short at 50 minutes, but it is packed with masterpieces. Let’s summarize the contents of this work along with the bonus video PV. Live main story: TELL NO TALES (3 songs) / As Far As The Eye Can See / 10,000 Lovers (In One) / Everyone’s A Star Live main story: INTUITION (5 songs) / Side A: Caught Between The Tigers / Tonight I’m Falling/End Of The Line/Intuition・B side: Take Me Down (Fallen Angel) Bonus: PV collection (5 songs)・KNIGHTS OF THE NEW THUNDER: Seven Seas・TELL NO TALES: Everyone’s A Star/10,000 Lovers (In One )・INTUITION: Intuition/Tonight I’m Falling…and it goes like this. The centerpiece is clearly “INTUITION”, a storm of beautiful melodies that could not be heard in “THREE NIGHTS IN TOKYO”. What’s more, the order of the songs is also important, almost reproducing side A of “INTUITION” (only “A Nation Free (Intro)” was played on tape as the opening BGM). Of course, the three songs of “TELL NO TALES” and the B-side “Take Me Down (Fallen Angel)” are great, but it is precisely because this A-side reproduction part is included that it feels even more like “INTUITION to see with your eyes.” . And the performance that spells out the set is exactly the live performance version of “INTUITION”. Tony Harnell’s singing voice is both beautiful and powerful, sharp, powerful, and ever-growing. Her passionate singing with her rich blonde hair pierces directly into your heart. And Ronnie Le Techlo. Phrases that were called “fanciful” at the time dance wildly, giving the famous songs a hook and edge, and even the beautiful melodies are not dull. Ronnie’s must-see scene is the guitar solo time inserted between “End Of The Line” and “Intuition”. While playing illusions (magic tricks) with two guitars, the third guitar performs a frightening solo. Then, the intro to the famous song “Intuition” rings out… And this “Intuition” is another must-see. Tony returns wearing a huge T-shirt with the word “Tokyo” written on it and plays an amazing throat song, but when it becomes a guitar solo, an incident occurs. Although it is not shown in the video, Tony falls during his solo. I just retreated to the backstage. Of course, the second half of the song is an instrumental. In response to the sudden trouble, Ronnie immediately stirred up the audience, who responded with a huge chorus that drew the whole venue into it. Furthermore, Tony returns to the stage with “10,000 Lovers (In One)”, which includes a bass and drum solo, and a multi-camera professional performs a set emotional scene as if it were a pre-planned production. You can see it in the shot (or should I say, it was released without even reshooting it). Of course, the 5 clips that follow bring back vivid memories of the 80’s. It starts with “Seven Seas”, the embodiment of Scandinavian metal, and the more the song goes on, the more it grows into a gorgeous video similar to BON JOVI or WHITESNAKE. Along with the main live performance, it is truly the epitome of the “golden age”. A superb professional shot that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the moment when TNT shined most dazzlingly for approximately 68 minutes.
