Description

Since its release in 2007, the excellent title “SUPERSONIC YEARS” has been given a new look as the definitive sound source of the London performance from the 1975 “SABOTAGE” tour, and to this day, nothing has surpassed it. Re-release! ! For Sabbath fans who haven’t heard this sound source yet, don’t miss this opportunity! ! The tour accompanying BLACK SABBATH’s “SABOTAGE” released in 1975 included the stereo line sound source of the Asbury Park, New Jersey performance on August 5, 1975, and the Santa Monica performance on September 4. There are many wonderful materials left, such as professional shot footage. Of course, there are many excellent sources for audience recording, such as “MEGALOMANIA” which captured the Providence performance on August 3rd, but many of these are sources from the American tour. However, even on the UK tour, there are definitely items that you should listen to, like this work “SUPERSONIC YEARS”. This sound source is a complete recording of the live performance at London’s “Hammersmith Odeon” on October 22, 1975, with an excellent audience recording that can be said to be the best at that time. “Supertzar”, which was missing in the master, and the first 10 seconds of the first song “Killing Yourself To Live” are compensated for with the same-day sound source known from the analog era, but after that, they are the highest quality songs unearthed in recent years. Use master. Everyone will be surprised at the freshness and the splendor of the sound (in fact, at the transition of the sound, you will feel that “this is so different”). Through the remastering process, many of the noises found in the original master have been removed as much as possible, creating a high-quality disc that can be declared to be the highest among the sound sources from the same day. The set unique to the “SABOTAGE” tour was littered with highly aggressive songs such as “Hole In The Sky” and “Symptom Of The Universe,” showing that SABBATH is developing from doom rock to full-fledged heavy metal. It depicts a live performance in progress. From this time on, Iommi’s guitar has been refined with a metallic edge, and you can understand that familiar songs such as “Snowblind” and “War Pigs” have a significantly different impression from around 1972. In addition, the show, which has jam-like performances scattered throughout, has a taste of ’70s hard rock. “Light Goes Off” starts a jam by Iommi, Geezer, Bill and others as if it were a natural occurrence from Ozzy’s MC.In addition to solos from each person, “Rock The long “Sabbra Cadabra” medley, which includes a variety of songs such as “And Roll Doctor” (early version without songs), allows you to enjoy the charming performance typical of the mid-era original SABBATH with the best listening pleasure (“Sabbra Cadabra ” also features the play of Gerald Woodruff, who joined the band from this tour). “Sometimes I’m Happy”, which could only be heard live in the ’70s, “Supernaut”, which flows naturally from the drum solo, and “Iron Man”, also produce highlights unique to the jam session parts of the time. The live highlight “Spiral Architect” that follows “Black Sabbath” can also be thoroughly enjoyed with excellent audience sound. The quality of this work lets you enjoy a powerful live performance lasting approximately 100 minutes with outstanding sound. If you haven’t heard the audience recording from the ’75 “SABOTAGE” tour, please take this opportunity to enjoy it. Disc 1 1. Supertzar 2. Killing Yourself To Live 3. Hole In The Sky 4. Snowblind 5.
