Description
In 1968, Rollins fans were shocked to see a live performance recorded at the famous jazz club “Montmartre” in Copenhagen, recorded on two discs for over two hours unedited. This is an extremely rare live recording that fills the gap between his disappearance in 1969 and no official recording until 1972, and the title of the three songs that were broadcast on TV was “In Copenhagen 1968.” Backing Rollins will be a trio made up of Montmartre’s house band, Kenny Drew, Neils-Henning Orsted Pedersen, and Albert Heath. Disc 1 contains a 48-minute unedited version of Miles’ famous song “Four.” Disc 2 includes Coltre’s “Naima” and “Sonny Moon for Two,” and at the end they even play the famous song “When Lights Are Low,” which is truly a feat. It will be released. The 1968 Montmartre performance was recorded for the first time from the unedited original master. Please listen to Sonny Rollins’ tenor music.
