The new Bungies, with new guitarist John Valentine Carruthers, who joined the band from the EP “THE THORN” released in 1984 after Robert Smith left the band, performed at De Montfort Hall, a historic concert hall in Leicester, England, on October 14, 1985. This newly excavated sound source was completely recorded in high-quality stereo audience recording! It has been digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, and the range is wide and each part, including the vocals, is well balanced. The parts where the balance of the position is lost due to the song caused by the master have been carefully corrected and remastered to enjoy clear and good sound quality! The set list featured seven songs from their seventh album, “Tinderbox,” which had not yet been released at this point, including “Cities In Dust,” which was released three days later ahead of the album, and the single “Candyman,” which was released in February of the following year. As with “Tinderbox,” new guitarist John Valentine Carruthers played not only guitar but also keyboards, and the entire live performance of the new Bungies at that time was recorded in its entirety, uncut, with tape changes skillfully performed between songs!
