Description

Olivia Newton-John came to Japan for the first time in 25 years in 2003. The ultimate master set conveying the famous “Tokyo first day” as a symbol of that is here. This work contains three superb records born from one show. This is a four-disc set with a full audience recording of the “April 4, 2003: Tokyo International Forum” performance on DISC 1-2 and two multi-camera pro shots on DISC 3-4. Speaking of her visit to Japan in 2003, the masterpieces “NAGOYA 2003” and “TOKYO 2003 2ND NIGHT” were released and are currently very popular. What is the position of this work in such a situation? First of all, let’s understand the position in the schedule at that time.・April 2nd “NAGOYA 2003” ・April 4th: Tokyo International Forum ←★This work★ ・April 6th “TOKYO 2003 2ND NIGHT” ・April 7th “OSAKA 2003” ・April 8th: Fukuoka Civic Hall All five performances. Our shop archives everything except the final Fukuoka performance. This work records the second performance, which was also broadcast on TV. It covers the highest peak record. Now, let’s introduce each master individually. [DISC 1-2: Superb Full Live Album] The first to appear is the superb audience recording, which is the main one. It is an original recording that has been introduced as a gift board, but the reason why it is the main one instead of the professional shot (described later) is the quality. Despite being an audience recording, it is better than the sound board sound of the TV broadcast. Although it also absorbs a slight hall sound, the core is extremely thick, there is no sense of distance, and the details are super delicate. In fact, it is on the same level as the two great masterpieces “NAGOYA 2003” and “TOKYO 2003 2ND NIGHT” mentioned above. It was introduced simply from one point, “Because it is a show familiar from TV broadcasting”, but in terms of content, it is a superb live album. The high quality sound is popular, but this record must be available at any time … For that reason, the regular release of this work was also decided. [DISC 3: BS-hi broadcast version pro shot with a large number of songs] Such a superb recording alone is powerful enough, but the concept of this work is “complete coverage of the ultimate record”. When that happens, it is the TV broadcast pro shot that can not be forgotten. In the first place, there are two types of pro shots that symbolize the 2003 Japan tour itself. This work sets both of them with the best master. DISC 3 contains the BS-hi version, which was first broadcast on June 7th, two months after their arrival in Japan. In fact, the more famous version is the BS-2 version, which was broadcast later, but it was a 21-song version with two fewer songs. In contrast, the first BS-hi version is a 23-song version with two more songs, “I Love You Crazy” and “Sam,” and an additional member introduction scene. What’s even more decisive is the quality. Since it was recorded directly from BS-hi, which was a digital broadcast, the visual beauty is the same as the in-house master. The conventional version was beautiful, but the quality of the DVD without analog is truly the ultimate. [DISC 4: BS-2 broadcast version with familiar interview] And the last DISC 4 contains the “21-song version” that was broadcast on BS-2 on July 5th, one month later. This is the familiar version that has produced many previously released groups. Of course, even though the broadcasts were familiar, there were differences in quality depending on the master, but this work uses the same master as the gift board “TOKYO 2003”, which is the best quality. As mentioned above, this one has two fewer songs, but the broadcast length itself is almost the same. Instead of fewer songs, original interviews for Japanese fans are inserted, and off-stage shots are also included for a longer period. It is a re-edited version that emphasizes a more private mood. So, which songs were broadcast specifically in the two broadcasts? Let’s organize them at the end. Early part, both broadcasts: Have You Never Been Mellow, Xanadu, Magic; BS-hi version (DISC 3) only: I Love You Crazy, Sam; both broadcasts: Medley (If Not for You, Banks of the Ohio, Let Me Be There, Please Mr. Please, Jolene) and Physical Middle part, not broadcast: I’ll Come Runnin’; both broadcasts: Not Gonna Give Into It, Don’t Cut Me Down, Somewhere Over the Rainbow; not broadcast: Reason To Cry, It Takes Two Late part, both broadcasts: Take Me Home, Country Roads, (They Long to Be) Close to You, Don’t Stop Believin’, Suddenly, You’re the One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Summer Nights, Come on Over, I Honestly Love You… and so on. Just to be clear, the full live album (DISC 1-2) contains all the above songs uncut. A set of two masters, a superb full audience recording that is as shocking as the official professional shots, and the highest peak of broadcast professional shots. This is a major decision board that brings together the ultimate records of “nothing better” quality all at once. It is titled “COLLECTOR’S EDITION” because it has familiar footage, but in terms of quality, it is an absolute work of official quality that beginners should be touched by. The ultimate master set of the “April 4, 2003: Tokyo International Forum” performance. This is a four-disc set with the superb full audience recording on DISC 1-2 and two types of TV broadcast professional shots (BS-2 version with interview / BS-hi digital broadcast version with two more songs) on DISC 3-4. The full live album (DISC 1-2) is of miraculous quality comparable to official professional shots, and the two professional shots are the best masters ever. This is the ultimate set that is perfect for beginners.Live at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo, Japan 4th April 2003 ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) Original Audience Recording Disc 1 (54:36) 1.
