Description

The world’s first original recording of Ronnie James Dio’s last performance in Japan has been unearthed. The last show was “October 25, 2007: Nagoya City Public Hall”. It was a performance in Japan as part of the BLACK SABBATH reorganization project “HEAVEN & HELL” with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. At our store, we archive memorial tours with the finest masterpiece recordings. First, let’s organize your collection by date.・October 20th “LOUD PARK 07 SAITAMA SUPER ARENA” ・October 22nd “TOKYO 2007 (Tokyo International Forum)” ・October 23rd “LOUD PARK 07 OSAKA” ・October 25th: Nagoya City Public Hall ←★Book Written by ★ Above, 4 performances in total. They came to Japan as the headliner of “LOUD PARK 07″, but they also held solo performances in Tokyo and Nagoya. This work is a live album from the final day. And, this day is truly Ronnie’s last Live in Japan. It has been 31 years since RAINBOW’s first visit to Japan in 1976, and it is the last night of a total of 58 performances, including BLACK SABBATH / DIO. This work was recorded at a very memorial site, and the sound is excellent. After all, this work was recorded by Mr. “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”, a master of HR/HM who is second to none. We are currently in the midst of the new coronavirus pandemic, and there is no hope that Totare will ever come to Japan, but this is a treasured collection that was kept in order to survive this difficult time. In fact, this is an early work that was recorded by the “strongest” artist at the time for personal use, but the sound is similar to today’s masterpieces. What is most wonderful is the direct feel of the powerful and sturdy core. Compared to the current “strongest” recordings that make you wonder, “Where’s the audience?”, it absorbs more realistic enthusiasm, but the performance sound that completely suppresses it doesn’t feel the slightest distance, and even the smallest details are heard. Super clear (of course the cheering is much more modest than normal audience standards). Ronnie is so close that it feels like he’s singing right in front of you, and Iommi & Geezer can feel the vibrations of the strings. And Vinnie Appice. Audience recordings tend to have a light snare sound, but this work has plenty of density and a solid response. Moreover, even though it is so powerful, it does not scare you at all. Judging from the luster of the sound, it is a type of direct sound that is called “like a sound board” rather than “a beautiful sound unique to a guest record”. What is depicted with such intimate sound is Japan’s last full show. The Osaka performance ended up being a short set due to a mistake in the partition (you can enjoy it with “LOUD PARK 07 OSAKA (Shades 1156)”, which is also part of his early “strongest” collection), but the Nagoya performance was a solo performance. Full set. Let’s organize it here by comparing it with Osaka. HEAVEN AND HELL (4 songs)・Children of the Sea/Die Young/Heaven and Hell//Neon Knights (★) MOB RULES (4 songs)・The Mob Rules/The Sign of the Southern Cross (★)/Voodoo/Falling Off the Edge of the World DEHUMANIZER (2 songs)・I/Computer God (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” were not heard at the Osaka performance “LOUD PARK 07 OSAKA”. …and it looks like this. It is exactly the culmination of Ronnie Sabbath, but even more important is the fact of history that “this is the last” that oozes out from each song. Is “Heaven and Hell” particularly interesting? It’s a famous song that develops at an uptempo at the end, but on this day there was an unexpected microphone problem. It is said that Ronnie threw the microphone away without hiding his frustration at the scene, but it was the audience who saved the trouble. A chorus of chants of “Hey! Hey!” replaces Ronnie’s microphone, which repeatedly appears and disappears. And at the end of the song, the revived Ronnie and the audience sing the main riff! You can witness the dramatic culmination due to trouble occurring with the best sound. With this show, the history of Ronnie and Japan came to an end, and about two years and nine months later, he passed away. No one, let alone Ronnie himself, would know that this day would be his last. Even though I knew this, the cheers of “Ronnie!” that broke out as I regretted parting still made my heart tighten. This work is a musical work where you can enjoy a wonderful show with the best sound, but I can’t stop feeling more emotional than that. A memorial album that captures the “last night” that will never return. Live at Civic Auditorium, Nagoya, Japan 25th October 2007 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (56:24) 1. E5150 2.
