Description
A live performance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 8th, 1986, from the South American tour, recorded almost completely by local radio on-air master, using soundboard recordings. First of all, Miles is of course in good spirits throughout the whole album, and especially tenor and soprano Bob Berg is in high spirits, and the interaction between Miles, who sharply inserts phrases into Bob, is superb. The tones he creates here have a jazz flavor that makes you feel the influence of the legends of the past, and that is the difference between him and Kenny, who later joined the Miles band. Also, the familiar “HUMAN NATURE” would end with a long saxophone solo in the later Kenny era, but here it features Garth Weber’s guitar solo. 06. Burn 07.
