Description
The charity event “HELPING HANDS CONCERT & AUCTION” is held every two years. The latest professional shot is here. This work was shot on “December 13, 2024 Inglewood”. This is a multi-camera professional shot. METALLICA’s current main event is the “M72 Tour”, and it has been decided that they will continue in 2025. In order to know the current situation, let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of their current activities and explore the position of this work. 2023 {“72 SEASONS” released on April 14th} ・April 27th – June 18th: Europe #1 (10 performances) ・August 4th – September 3rd: North America #1 (10 performances) ← *AT&T STADIUM 2023 ・October 8th – November 12th: North America #2 (5 performances) ・December 14th: Riyadh performance 2024 ・May 24th – July 14th: Europe #2 (14 performances) ・August 2nd – September 29th: North America #3 (14 performances) *December 13th: Inglewood performance ← ★This work★ 2025 ・April 19th – June 29th: North America #4 (20 performances) ・November 1st – 19th: Oceania (6 performances)This is the overall picture of the “M72 Tour” that has been announced to date. The “HELPING HANDS CONCERT” in this work was a special event held during the off-season of about six months, rather than being part of the tour. This event is a charity launched by METALLICA themselves, and is held in even-numbered years. In our shop, the professional shot works “ALL WITHIN MY HANDS 2020” and “THE HELPING HANDS CONCERT 2022” have become standard. This work is the latest 2024 version. Of course, since it is METALLICA’s latest distribution, the quality is naturally “fully official grade”. It is super-excellent, just a row of beautiful words. The quality is within expectations, but what is surprising is the atmosphere of the venue. Previous “HELPING HANDS” were quite different from regular concerts, but this time it was like a dinner show. I don’t think they were eating, but the guests were sitting around a large table and staring at the stage. As the event title says “CONCERT & AUCTION,” the live performance may be just a part of the entertainment. And the focus is on the content of the show itself. As with previous “HELPING HANDS,” the show is divided into two parts: “First half = acoustic” and “Second half = electric.” Acoustic set (5 songs) The highlight of this event is the acoustic stage, which is unique to charity. This time, perhaps to avoid overlapping with previous “HELPING HANDS,” the new material is delicious. The first song is “Low Man’s Lyric,” which has been performed for the first time in 26 years (!), and the following “Helpless” has also been performed for the first time in six years (also for the first time in 26 years as an acoustic version). The third song, “Away From Home,” is a cover of BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE, and this day was the world premiere. Another point is the variety of guests. Not only Avi Vinokur (guitar/mandolin) and Henry Salvia (keyboards), who are familiar from “HELPING HANDS,” but also the two members of SistaStrings add moving strings to “If Darkness Had A Son” and “Nothing Else Matters.” The second half of the electric set (8 songs) is the professional electric stage, and here too there are plenty of rare songs. “Orion,” “The Shortest Straw,” “Screaming Suicide,” etc. have been played at recent live shows, but the mood of playing surprise revival songs is still very strong. The best of them all is “The Unforgiven II.” This is the first live performance in nine years, but it is a very rare song that has only been played on stage seven times. Although the song itself is familiar, “Fuel” is actually the rarest. Here, Avi Vinokur/Henry Salvia reappears and it is a boldly revised rearranged version. The transformation is intense. The original song was a refreshing up-tempo role in “RELOAD”, but here it has been transformed into a heavy and moody mid-tempo song that is closer to the essence of “LOAD/RELOAD”, and you won’t even notice it’s “Fuel” unless you follow the lyrics closely. It’s almost a different song. Another guest point is “Hit The Lights”, where PEARL JAM’s Jeff Ament appears. Don’t miss the sight of him strumming the 12-string bass alongside Robert Trujillo. Like “ALL WITHIN MY HANDS 2020” and “THE HELPING HANDS CONCERT 2022”, the “HELPING HANDS CONCERT” is packed with special performances that would normally be a highlight even if it was just one song. This is the latest official professional shot. A multi-camera professional shot of the “HELPING HANDS CONCERT on December 13, 2024”. A special performance of “First half = acoustic / second half = electric” at a charity event launched by METALLICA themselves. There are a lot of rare repertoires, such as “Low Man’s Lyric” for the first time in 26 years, “Away From Home” which was premiered worldwide, the extremely rare “The Unforgiven II”, “Fuel” which was transformed into a different song, etc. PEARL JAM’s Jeff Ament and other gorgeous guests are also delicious, and it is a completely official professional shot.
