Description
The first day of the now legendary 1978 Japan tour, July 1st in Nagoya, was recorded almost completely on stereo soundboard from the radio on-air master at the time. While the soundboard recording of the final performance, July 8th at Nakano Sun Plaza, had been distributed, this first day was completely unearthed for the first time, and apart from some cuts and sound interruptions, this precious first visit to Japan, and the first day performance, was completely reproduced. And the official live performance “Waiting For Columbus” was reproduced in Japan, and it was a truly dreamy night, with representative numbers such as “Dixie Chicken” and “Rock And Roll Doctor” as well as the instrumental masterpiece “Day At The Dog Races” packed with swells and feet sounds. Although this performance in Japan was postponed due to Lowell George’s poor health at the time, it miraculously took place. However, it ended up being the first and last visit to Japan for Little Feat with Lowell George in the band, so this is a must-have item for fans, recorded on a high-quality soundboard to capture this unforgettable and precious night.
