Beatles Watching Rainbow’s Unreleased Sessions

“Watching Rainbows – Unreleased Sessions” is a newly edited compilation of late studio sessions from the White Album to the Get Back sessions and Abbey Road, including “Watching Rainbows,” a new song that was performed as a new song in the Beatles’ Get Back sessions but is still unreleased. “Watching Rainbows” is known to collectors of the past as a nostalgic analog bootleg title that appeared in 1978. The first CD reproduces the content of the analog version. However, all the sound sources themselves have been replaced with the latest edited sound sources, and all the sounds that were mono at the time have been upgraded with the latest stereo remastering. Another point to note is that the camera sync P sound that is unique to the Get Back sessions and interferes with songs has been removed. In addition, “Blackbird,” which was a Wings rehearsal sound source on the analog version, has been changed to the Beatles’ acoustic demos, including “Gone Tomorrow Here Today” and “Helter Skelter,” which were unreleased during the White Album period. This is also the first appearance of the stereo mix, and it can be said to be a more valuable recording than the analog version of the time. Furthermore, the sound sources from the series of Get Back sessions recorded afterwards are recorded from the latest stereo remaster sound source from the original Nagra tape, and the beginning and end of the songs are longer, and in particular, the “Feedback Guitar/Jam” medley developed from The Who’s “Quick One” at the end is a long version of over 8 minutes of intense and chaotic performance with free jazz-like improvisation and Yoko’s screams. The second CD is “Unreleased Sessions” and is a selection of songs from the Get Back sessions and the album “Abbey Road” sessions, including unreleased songs such as “Get Off/White Power” and “White Gold Lowdown Blues”, as well as unreleased mixes from the “Abbey Road” sessions, all of which are recorded in the latest stereo remaster different from the existing sound sources. This is the latest title that has been reborn as an expanded edition of the nostalgic classic collector’s item from the 70s with a new content by the latest editing.
