Description
A live performance that Zep and rock fans should definitely listen to! This is Led Zeppelin! It’s been famous for a long time, but if you’ve been avoiding it just because it’s an audience recording, please listen to it! The May 1971 Nordic tour, which is still full of mysteries, is one of the few performances where you can hear Robert’s best vocals! The key does not drop as in the original, and the performance is exactly the word “climax” that suits you. BLACK DOG and STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, whose performance is judged by their high-pitched vocals, are also perfectly sung, overwhelming the listener! The recently unearthed Copenhagen, Denmark performance on May 3, 1971, the day before the Odense performance, is completely recorded in ultra-high quality! Although it is an audience recording, it is a good master, so it is a great performance that soundboard supremacy should definitely listen to. The extremely rare songs “FOUR STICKS” and “GALLOWS POLE” are also played for the first time. The recording is said to have been transferred from the master reel to DAT, and the tape speed is adjusted with Jonesy’s bass. There was a cut of about 4 seconds in this DAT version of “GALLOWS POLE”. This was edited using another transfer. The finished master version of this version, called BERT13, had a missing sound in “DAZED AND CONFUSED”. (Perhaps to respect the original master?) CD3 also comes with a restored version of that part. This Copenhagen performance, which was the next live performance after the BBC performance known for its masterpieces and great performances, is the best archive that captures Led Zeppelin at the height of their power. Let’s feel their power in their youth with our whole bodies!
