Description
Finally, the master recording of the astonishing recording by Mike Millard on the second day of the LA Forum in 1975 will be released, but a few weeks before that, the “Dogs of Doom” team, which has been leading the ZEP rare sound source world in recent years, quietly released a new sound source from the final day of the LA Forum. Speaking of the last day of the LA Forum in 1975, in addition to the Millard recording whose master is waiting to be released, another sound source has been excavated, and this time, “recorder 3” has appeared. Of course, in terms of sound quality, the Millard recording is a winner, but this new master is surprisingly easy to listen to, even though it is mono. At least it is much easier to listen to than “recorder 2”, and if only this version of the sound source of this day existed, it would have been good enough. Compared to the world-famous Millard recording, it is a vintage audience with a sense of distance, but the secret to its ease of listening is that the sound image is not as far away as “recorder 2”. In particular, Bonzo’s drums are captured with a very powerful sound image. Therefore, if the Mirrored Master is discovered in the future, he will be a perfect replacement. The 1975 US tour, which began with Jimmy’s hand injury and Robert’s cold, was somehow able to be completed, so it can be said that the enthusiasm for the final day of the tour was more than usual, and the content and atmosphere of the show were completely different from the 25th. The best example of this is “Since I’ve Been Loving You”, which was not originally included in the program, which Robert suggested on the spot. However, even though it was not a regular song on the 1975 tour, it was a song that the band was familiar with, so they gave us a heated performance here as well. Starting with this song, the group seems to have entered “final day ecchi mode”, and Bonzo’s “Moby Dick” was nearly 30 minutes long. Furthermore, “Dazed And Confused” is a long performance like the 25th, but its development is completely different, which is unique to the final day of the tour. Unfortunately, from the middle of “In My Time Of Dying” to the end of the performance, a sound like pre-war blues unrelated to ZEP is transcribed on the left channel, which is a big minus point. Looking at it as a whole, it is a first-time sound source that does not go beyond the range of maniacs, but it should be perfect as a relay sound source that will quench the thirst of maniacs until the long-awaited mirrored master is released on the last day of the LA Forum in 1975. What’s more, the first-time sound source is generously recorded. Please try out the new sound source that maniacs around the world are paying attention to! For maniacs? If you think so, it’s a good recording that you can listen to normally. A surprising first-time sound source. (Remastering memo) There are some parts where the pitch is slightly fast, so I adjusted it. The Forum, Inglewood, CA, USA 27th March 1975 ★ It is a good recording that you can listen to normally.
