Description
Before the words fusion, crossover, and AOR were even invented, Neil and Buzzy of the legendary Full Moon, known for their premature sound that transcended genres such as jazz, rock, and soul, along with Steely Dan, White Elephant, and CTI Label, are the ultimate fusion band. This is the first time that these two live performances, full of the charm of the band, have been coupled together in the highest quality sound! This album contains a recording of the original Larsen-Pheton Band (bass only) at My Father’s Place in New York on November 1, 1980, the peak of their career, recorded on a high-quality soundboard with careful mastering by the label itself, and another recording of the Larsen-Pheton Band’s live performance on June 19, 1990 in Shibuya, Tokyo, recorded by Neil Larsen (Buzzy Feiten also performed solo, which is also available for sale! Of course Neil also participated), which is essentially the Larsen-Pheton Band, both of which are rare live performances that are being released for the first time, also recorded on a high-quality soundboard with careful mastering by the label itself. Fusion fans will be delighted! This powerful 2-disc set has arrived! Everyone loves both stages! Neil, with his unforgettable melancholy melody and fantastic Hammond, and Buzzy’s sharp Stratocaster, are the trademarks of the song “Sudden Samba,” which opens “Jungle Fever.” In the 1980 concert, they performed “Midnight Path” from the 1972 Full Moon era, “Who Will Be the Fool Tonight” and “Morning Star,” which were the biggest hits from the album “Larsen Feiten Band,” and other songs that featured Buzzy’s vocals (which also had a great flavor!) and fun instrumental numbers, creating a groovy performance! In the 1990 concert, the songs that this guy writes are really good! Neil, a top-class composer supported by many artists including the emperor Miles Davis, performed a stage centered on Neil’s representative instrumentals, such as “Wind Song” and “High Gear,” which are also famous for their covers of George Benson! During the heyday of fusion, Neil Larsen and Buzzy Feiten were hugely popular here in Japan. They are two musicians who are highly regarded by artists and have a long history. This is not 1+1=2, but the synergy between them is infinite. This is the strongest duo in the music world. Even after 10 years, they have always delivered the best performances. Both live performances were recorded on a superb high-quality soundboard. Fusion fans who don’t listen to this are fakes! We have a stamp of approval in stock!
