Description
This DVD contains a complete recording of the live performance at Wembley Arena, London on September 9th, from the UK tour when “UNMASKED”, the sixth album released in 1980, recorded with stereo soundboard recordings from the broadcast master. First of all, this album, produced after “DYNASTY” the previous year, was more pop-oriented, with Ace Frehley’s R&ER color strong, sales were sluggish, and the world tour was limited to Europe and the Far East, with no US tour. Furthermore, following Peter Criss’ departure, Ace also left the band after the tour ended, and KISS faced its biggest crisis since its formation. And the tour that took place during that transitional period, regardless of its evaluation, was a standard set list, but it was also Ace’s last tour, where he took the lead vocals on two songs from “UNMASKED”, which will probably never be played again, such as “TALK TO ME” and “IS THAT YOU?”, as well as “2,000 Man” and “New York Groove”. Also, including the late Eric Carr’s dynamic drum solo, there are only a limited number of full live soundboard recordings from this period, so be sure to check that out too. DISC 1: 01.
