KISS in the 1970s, where extremely rare professional shots are being unearthed one after another. This newly unearthed collection also features rehearsal footage that will shock you to the max. This work contains a tour rehearsal held in 1976. It is a staff shot taken with a single camera in black and white. This footage itself has been known for a long time and is commonly known as “Dress Rehearsals 1976” and “Without Make-Up Tour Rehearsals”. It has been loved as a bonus content for the video work “HOUSTON 1976” in our shop. The same black and white footage was unearthed this time, but the length is completely different. Previously, the two rehearsal videos were about 41 minutes in total, but the new master is about 2.8 times longer. It is a long version that lasts for 1 hour and 56 minutes. The two rehearsal locations included in this work can be roughly divided into three categories. Let’s introduce each one individually right away. [Dress rehearsal: June 1976 (about 20 minutes)] The first thing to appear is a dress rehearsal that is said to have taken place at Westbury Airfield in June 1976. However, this is a bit of a mystery. The date was previously specified as “June 8-12,” but this is two days after the end of the “European leg” of the “DESTROYER Tour.” There is about a month until the next “North American leg,” which is somewhat unnatural. What further deepens the suspicion is the content of the rehearsal. The two-story stage set is well-constructed, and the members are in their stage costumes. The pyro is also violent, and a great performance is being performed just like the real thing. Judging from the video alone, it looks like a rehearsal just before the actual performance at the same venue, and it doesn’t seem like it was done in anticipation of a month later. Aside from such mysteries, the content is wonderful, with a precious rehearsal atmosphere and the thrill of a live performance with enthusiasm. The previous master only had the first three songs (about 10 minutes), but this work is twice as long. You can enjoy five songs, including Gene’s bass solo, which is close up. Detroit Rock City (★) / King Of The Night Time World (★) / Let Me Go, Rock ‘N Roll (★) / God Of Thunder / Flaming Youth *Note: The “★” mark is a take that was previously known. [No makeup rehearsal: SIR Studio (about 96 minutes)] The second video is even rarer and more extensive! This is a rehearsal held at “SIR Studio” in New York. The date has not been confirmed, but the song selection seems to be a tour rehearsal for the “ROCK & ROLL OVER Tour”. This is also a monochrome single camera, but this is not the actual venue, and the members are wearing no makeup and everyday clothes (or rather, half-naked). It is clearly an earlier stage than the dress rehearsal. And the increase from the previous version is amazing. Previously, it was about five songs (about 30 minutes), but this time it’s about three times as long, about 90 minutes. The rehearsal is divided into two parts. The first half of the rehearsal is for practicing new songs. They repeat the same song many times and often stop halfway. They rehearse a total of five songs and 14 takes. The practice scenes are extremely rare even in the rehearsal video, and Peter sings in close-up, especially in the last song “Beth”. It’s like a private shot, and it feels so precious. And the second half of the rehearsal is a complete change. They play 14 songs at once, just like in the real thing, and each person’s solo is a full-length rehearsal. What was previously known was the last 30 minutes of this full-length rehearsal, but this time you can enjoy the full version starting from pole position “Detroit Rock City”. Practice of each song (36 minutes) ・Love ‘Em And Leave ‘Em (2 takes) / Hard Luck Woman (2 takes) / I Want You (4 takes) / Makin’ Love (2 takes) / Beth (2 takes) Rehearsal (60 minutes) ・Detroit Rock City / Take Me / Let Me Go, Rock ‘N Roll / Strutter / Love ‘Em And Leave ‘Em / Firehouse / I Want You / Hard Luck Woman / Do You Love Me / Cold Gin (★) / God Of Thunder (★) / Rock And Roll All Nite (★) / Deuce (★) / Black Diamond (★) *Note: “★” marks are takes that were previously known. The above is a secret video that lasts for 1 hour and 56 minutes. This is a rare and phantom video that was deleted in an instant while shocking collectors as it appeared. This work is a DVD of the full version. Although the contents are somewhat nerdy, this is a treasure that allows you to witness the backstage of the heyday that you normally can’t even see. 1976 tour rehearsal video collection. It is a new master that has been significantly expanded from the conventional 41-minute version to 1 hour and 56 minutes with staff shots taken with a single camera in black and white. There are two types of rehearsals, and the first 20 minutes are “dress rehearsals” just like the real thing. It is a full-scale rehearsal with not only the costumes but also the stage set as in the real thing, and pyro explodes. The second half is an even rarer “no makeup rehearsal”. They practice new songs for “ROCK & ROLL OVER” many times, and even do a full rehearsal including solos. It is a shocking treasure video that allows you to witness the backstage of the heyday. It is a historic excavation video that will remain in rock history. It is so shocking that I can’t speak! ! !
