Description
The tour accompanying the album “ASYLUM” lasted approximately five months from the end of November 1985 to the first half of April 1986, and 91 performances were held only in North America. The “LICK IT UP” tour was the first time they went on a tour without makeup, exposing their true faces, and the “ANIMALIZE” tour also included a European tour, and many bootleg titles were released, but from the “ASYLUM” tour The only notable releases were the Charlotte soundboard on December 28th and the LA performance on February 12th, and the situation remained somewhat lonely considering the scale of the tour. This edition features “Chicago Taper,” which is well-known for ZODIAC’s famous recordings of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Heart, and this week’s Mötley Crue, performing in Chicago on January 17, 1986. It was completely recorded with the best audience recording. As you know, the high quality of Chicago Taper’s recordings has been recorded by other artists in the past, but this album also has a super quality sound that will not disappoint listeners, and it is a record of the heyday of metal in the mid-1980s. You can enjoy the best live performance. The first half of Disc 1 has a clear sound that will definitely make everyone listen to it saying, “This is amazing!!”, but there is one disappointing thing. During the encore Heaven’s On Fire, the tape suddenly started to deteriorate or become uneven (rotating), making it quite difficult to listen to. However, I can clearly see what they are playing, so I recorded it as is (if this is the master tape, it can’t be helped!), but if this problem hadn’t existed, it would be a complete representation of Kiss’ 1986 tour. It’s a shame because it was an unrivaled masterpiece title. The roughness of the tape also occurs in the last Lick It Up, which is also extremely disappointing, but since the tape is like this, it can’t be helped. However, the 1 hour and 20 minute main set from Detroit Rock City to Rock And Roll All Nite is not an exaggeration, and you can enjoy the super sound that is in a class of its own for an audience recording from this period, so I definitely recommend this to enthusiasts. By the way. After all, this is the first time the bootleg has appeared and it is of this quality! I would appreciate it if you could close your eyes for the 12 minutes of the encore and enjoy the main set at its best sound (I thought about cutting it, but I think collectors would want to hear it on the complete recording disc). The first half of the show is filled with overwhelming power, featuring familiar songs from this tour such as Detroit Rock City, Fits Like A Glove, Cold Gin, Uh! All Night, and Under The Gun. Kiss’s stage performances around this time are truly invincible, and the sound alone is incredibly persuasive. The flow from the guitar solo to the heavy I Still Love You and from the bass solo to I Love It Loud is also worth listening to. After the excitement, there was a short pause, at which point Paul spoke as MC and said, “We’ve had a little problem.” I think there was probably a technical problem, but Paul handled it as MC in a familiar manner. Surprisingly, there wasn’t that much of a pause, and the hit single Tears Are Falling was played here. The late Eric Carr’s drum solo leads to an instrumental play with Gene’s familiar bass, which leads directly to the dramatic War Machine. The main set concludes with Love Gun and Rock And Roll All Nite, where you can enjoy a wonderfully exciting performance that also gets the audience excited.
