Description
This is a stereo soundboard album of the “San Bernardino performance on February 20, 1985”. Let’s first imagine what position this work is in from the whole picture of “ANIMALIZE WORLD TOUR 1984-1985”. ・September 30-November 5, 1984: Europe (29 performances) ・November 5-December 18, 1984: North America #1 (23 performances) ← DVD ・December 26, 1984-March 29, 1985: North America #2 (65 performances) ← ★ Here ★ The tour outlines all 117 performances above. It’s a huge tour in terms of the number of performances, but if you divide it into blocks, it’s a very simple “Europe + North America”. The North American tour was also divided into two parts with a Christmas holiday of about one week in between, the representative of the first half was the Michigan performance (47th performance) of this DVD, and the representative sound board of the second half was the San Bernardino performance (92nd performance) of this work. Such a work is of great quality to represent the tour. Although the balance that is slightly solidified in the center is not half a step away from being called “official class”, the direct connection of the table where the cheers can only be heard far away is tremendous. Of course, the fact that it is close to the center is due to the on-site mix, and the guitar is panned ferociously in “Fits Like A Glove”, which is definitely a stereo sound board. Some of the previously released ones were out of pitch, but this work has been finished into the best version that is just right. The show depicted with that quality is a scorching KISS show that is not inferior to the main press DVD. The set list is exactly the same as the main part, and even the MC is very similar, but that is why the ironclad show that has been perfectly calculated is unshakable. Even in the rock world, is there any entertainment that is so thoroughly professional? I am overwhelmed by the perfectionism that I feel even awe. This is a film that depicts the entirety of such a perfect show with sound directly connected to the table. However, it is still a different performance. Bruce Kulick is particularly notable. The band’s engine was already at full throttle on the DVD, but on the day he was decided to become an official member. From there, the sense of breathing and unity that has been further accumulated over the years has been incredible, and the immovable ensemble has reached a state of perfection for the past 12 years. With Bruce Kulick, KISS has been sublimated into an ironclad band second only to the original members. Please enjoy the moment when No Makeup KISS builds an era again.
