Description
Kara Bonoff performed in Japan in 2019, the milestone of the 40th anniversary of “RESTLESS NIGHTS”. Her latest original recording is now available. This work includes “September 6, 2019: Osaka Performance 2nd Stage”. This is the best audience recording. This week, “TOKYO 2019 2ND NIGHT: 2ND STAGE” will also be released at the same time, so let’s first check their positions from the schedule of coming to Japan.・September 2: Tokyo (evening performance) ・September 2: Tokyo (evening performance) ・September 3: Tokyo (evening performance) ・September 3 “TOKYO 2019 2ND NIGHT: 2ND STAGE” ・September 6th: Osaka (evening/night performance) ←★This work★ All in all, 3 days. In recent years, they have been performing at a pace of two performances a day when they come to Japan, and this time it will be the same. This album is a recording of the second stage in Osaka on September 6th, the final performance of the tour. This work, which records such a show, is a truly exquisite beautiful recording. Anyway, it’s close and neat. “TOKYO 2019 2ND NIGHT: 2ND STAGE”, which was released at the same time, also has the feeling of being close to a club scale, but perhaps because of the position, or perhaps the structure of the Osaka venue is different, it feels even closer. If you listen to it with headphones, you can feel the sound of the venue, but it’s very slight and even though it adds luster to the singing voice, it never hides the details. Although it doesn’t have the same “feeling of pouring rain” as the Tokyo version, on the other hand, the “closed room” feeling is better in this work, and it feels more like “I feel like I can reach out and touch her” rather than “Kara is there”. There is a great sense of privacy. Moreover, it is extremely neat. There is no slight chatter or distortion in the sound, and the sense of stability is unwavering. The modest guitar arpeggios and piano touches are full of beauty on a microscopic level, and there is even a sense of breathing in the singing voice. If the Tokyo edition is a beautiful recording specializing in power and mystery, this work is a beauty of reality. From the moment a single note rises to the moment it goes off, everything has a beauty of symmetry, and even the presence of the instruments and performers emanates from the speakers. The reality of sitting together in the same space is beautiful. The show drawn with such a sound is very similar to the Tokyo edition, but the details are different. For the sake of comparison, let’s organize the contents of the set here. ●KARLA BONOFF (2 songs)・*Home, Isn’t It Always Love ●RESTLESS NIGHTS (5 songs)・Trouble Again, *Restless Nights, *Only A Fool, When You Walk In The Room, *The Water Is Wide ● NEW WORLD (2 songs)・*New World, *All My Life ●Others (4 songs)・Please Be the One (WILD HEART OF THE YOUNG), *Carry Me Home (CARRY ME HOME), *Something Fine (Jackson) Brown), Imagine (John Lennon) *Note: Songs marked with an asterisk (*) were also included in “CARRY ME HOME.” …and it looks like this. In recent years, Carla seems to have only decided on the beginning and encore, and then selected the intervals as she thought of, and two songs have been replaced with the Tokyo version, and the order of the songs has also been changed. In place of “Someone to Lay Down Beside Me” and “Goodbye My Friend,” “Isn’t It Always Love” and “All My Life” are being performed. This is a matter of personal preference, but it’s nice to be able to listen to even one famous song. Of course, the large-scale performance of “RESTLESS NIGHTS” is also wonderful. This masterpiece was released in Japan in September 1979, exactly 40 years ago. You can enjoy that emotion with the finest sound that is full of beauty. “TOKYO 2019 2ND NIGHT: 2ND STAGE” has a sense of spiritual strength and mystery, and this work is filled with the beauty of symmetry and reality. This is a live album where you can experience the 40th anniversary performance of “RESTLESS NIGHTS” in Japan with a recording as good as ever. I think that many people choose based on their preference for the set and sound, but I would like you to enjoy the two together as much as possible. This is a masterpiece packed with amazing once-in-a-lifetime shows. Osaka, Japan 6th September 2019: 2nd Stage PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) (70:49) 1. Intro 2. Home 3. Trouble Again 4.
