Description

Three months after their performance in Japan last year, which received a storm of rave reviews, Kotetsushin has suddenly decided to come to Japan again. The latest live album predicting their return to Japan is now available. This work includes “January 27, 2019 Paris Performance”. This is the best audience recording. The decision to revisit this time was a sudden turn of events. In order to explain the circumstances, I would like to briefly summarize my progress since my last visit to Japan. ●2018, November 21-29: Japan #1 (6 performances), December 1-7: Asia (3 performances) ●2019, January 27: Paris performance ←★Here★《1 Month 29th: O Announcement of postponement of UK tour with G.》×January 30th – March 3rd: UK (postponed)《February 6th: Announcement of Ozzy’s hospitalization》《February 12th: Announcement of cancellation of PRIEST’s South Africa tour》 [February 19th: Ozzy’s visit to Japan canceled is announced] [February 21st: PRIEST’s return visit to Japan is announced] March 9th-16th: Oceania (4 performances) x March 20th + 22nd: South Africa (cancelled)/March 21st: Japan #2 (DOWNLOAD JAPAN) This is the progress from my last visit to Japan until my return visit in March. It all started with Ozzy Osbourne’s illness. Originally, we were scheduled to tour the UK with the dream coupling of “Ozzy & JUDAS PRIEST” from January 2019, and then proceed to our first South African performance with PRIEST. However, just before the coupling tour, Ozzy contracted the flu. Moreover, he was hospitalized due to complications from bronchitis, and his entire UK tour was cancelled. It’s a common (?) story up to that point, but this time there was a problem on PRIEST’s side. Due to circumstances on the local promoter’s side, there was a problem with transporting equipment, and the South African performance was cancelled. So far we’ve been talking about the other side of the ocean, but the problem lies after that. Ozzy was scheduled to participate in DOWNLOAD JAPAN in March, but it turned out that he needed a few months of rest. Even the performance in Japan has been cancelled. Then, JUDAS PRIEST, who had a free schedule due to South Africa’s cancellation, came in as a pinch hitter. DOWNLOAD JAPAN, which was at one point in crisis due to the cancellation of its headliner, has suddenly become a savior, and has suddenly become a savior. Well, I decided to come back to Japan by chance. Only 4 months since the last time, what kind of show will it be? This is a live album that will tell you that. As mentioned above, there has only been one performance in Paris in 2019, but the quality of this work is so superb that you can’t believe it’s a one-time chance! The active and dynamic core jumps directly into your ears, and the details are super detailed. There was so little reverberation that I wondered, “Is Le Zénith an outdoor venue?” (It’s actually indoors), and it’s worthy of being called a “soundboard.” I’ve introduced masterpiece recordings so far, including the last Japan performance, so I can’t easily declare that it’s “Tour No. 1!!”, but I can’t help but want to say it. In fact, in the middle of the second song, “Running Wild,” a female staff member’s warning voice comes in, and the sound quality becomes cloudy, as if to hide the microphone. However, it is only for about 10 seconds, and other than that, the beautiful sound penetrates the whole story. With such a sound, it is an amazing show that will make you look forward to coming back to Japan. It’s roughly the same as the previous performance in Japan, and Rob’s excellent voice, which received great acclaim, will be heard, and he will also perform “The Hellion/Electric Eye”, which he did not perform in Tokyo……it is a long story! The biggest shock is, of course, the extremely rare “Killing Machine”!!!! The return of rare songs has been a highlight of “FIREPOWER WORLD TOUR” since the beginning, but the rarity of this song is by far the No. .1. This is the first time in 41 years that they have played “Killing Machine” since 1978. Moreover, it is an extremely rare song as it had only been performed a few times 41 years earlier, and only one performance can be confirmed with sound evidence. 1978 (Shades 886)”). Maybe you can see it in Japan too… The details of his return to Japan were heart-wrenching, but the details are also worth a lot of attention. JUDAS PRIEST’s next show will be in Australia/New Zealand in March. Five days later, it will be DOWNLOAD JAPAN. It is doubtful whether the Oceania recording will be completed in time, and there is no guarantee that the best recording will come out in the first place. If so, this work is the only way to prepare for your next visit to Japan. Moreover, it is of the highest quality that blows away its preciousness, and even the extremely rare “Killing Machine” explodes. This is a very special live album that goes beyond the level of rehearsal and is an inevitable addition to the PRIEST collection.
