A historical anthology of live audio and video from The Beatles’ 1964 North American tour! A special edition with live broadcast audio and valuable live video archives! Following their first US appearance in February 1964, The Beatles toured North America for 31 days from August to September, performing 32 shows in 24 cities. The tour was enthusiastically received throughout the US, and attracted attention as the first large-scale concert tour in music history. This collection is a 2CD & 2DVD 4-disc special edition of the historical anthology of the 1964 North American tour, carefully selecting the existing live audio and video from the many records left at the time and compiling them in the latest edition. The two CDs include four performances, known as representative soundboard broadcast audio sources that contain almost the entire concert, remastered by Stereo Demix. The performance in Vancouver, Canada on August 22nd is famous as a live recording of an accident where the concert was interrupted by a riotous audience, and this time all songs are recorded in a version where the radio DJ does not overlap. It is the latest original edit that repairs the sound quality balance, skipping and noise that existed until now and improves the sound quality. The performance in Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles on August 23rd is a familiar classic live performance from the analog era, but it is recorded in a newly edited restored version from the stereo mix that was the source of the broadcast sound source, which is different from the many other sound sources. The performance in Philadelphia on September 2nd and the performance in Indianapolis on the following day, September 3rd, are also new edit versions that have been further brushed up and have improved sound quality. In addition, the final song “Long Tall Sally” fades out at the Indianapolis performance, but this time a mysterious sound source from Whiskey Flat has been added. Both are classic live recordings from 1964, but they are new versions with the latest edits. It is a video compilation that conveys the enthusiasm of the concert at that time. The following “Live at the Hollywood Bowl” contains four versions from existing film footage. Unfortunately, not all the songs remain as footage, but the longest edited “long edit stereo version”, the “short edit stereo version” based on different angle footage, and the “alternate edit version” edited by another edit, as well as the “color version” edited by AI video, are also included. The second DVD contains the “Live Film Archive,” a chronological compilation of recorded footage and news footage from 32 performances in 24 cities over 31 days from the San Francisco performance on August 19th, which kicked off the North American tour, to the New York performance on September 20th. Although many fragmentary footage has been released so far, except for short fragments and interviews such as press conferences, the live footage is mainly recorded in an original new edit centered on vivid color footage newly excavated in recent years and upgraded footage with improved image quality compared to past video footage with poor image quality. This is the best video collection that looks back on the 1964 North American tour in chronological order. Following “The First America,” which captured the first landing in America, “The Beatles = USA = 1964 Tour Anthology” summarizes the first large-scale US tour. This time, it is a special edition with the latest edit of the 2024 version, including the first appearance of new sound sources and newly excavated footage. The four live broadcast recordings from Vancouver, Canada, Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Indianapolis are all recorded on CD in the latest stereo demix. The DVD includes a video collection that recreates the entire concert using footage from each performance from the North American tour, as well as newly edited versions of the Hollywood Bowl performance. The live film archive, which chronologically compiles recorded footage and news footage from each location on the North American tour, is an original new edit that mainly includes newly discovered and upgraded footage.
