Description
The Heartbreakers temporarily reunited at their old home, Maxis, during the Gang War activities in 1979, and this classic recording of that precious night has been brushed up! Johnny moved to Detroit in June 1979, started Gang War, recorded demos, and started performing live at Gang War in August. For some reason, Johnny reunited with the golden Heartbreakers, consisting of Johnny, Jerry, Walter, and Billy, at his old home, Maxis, in New York, in September 1979, during the Gang War’s peak activity period! The classic recording of that night was available on the same label’s previously released album, “GOREAT LOST LIVE ALBUM (TOTH0975),” but this work has been newly digitally transferred from the master source, and the pitch, which was slightly off depending on the song, has been carefully corrected, and it is now available as a brushed-up edition with the latest remastering! The Heartbreakers released a live album, “Live at Max’s Kansas City,” in the same year, but it was recorded in late 1978 to spring 1979, and the drummer was not Jerry Nolan. Here, the golden lineup of Johnny, Walter, Billy, and Jerry are featured. Although they gathered at short notice, they gave us a wonderful performance that is truly the Heartbreakers. The set list includes the popular songs “Take A Chance” and “Leave Me Alone” by Jerry, as well as songs from the masterpiece “L.A.M.F.”, as well as rare songs that were not played much at that time, such as “Seven Day Weekend” and Walter’s “Flight.” In addition, Blondie’s Frank Infante makes a special appearance on the last song, “Do You Love Me”!
