John Lennon/Walls and Bridges Alternate Ultimate Collector’s Edition

The ultimate collector’s edition of John Lennon’s 1974 album “Walls and Bridges” “ALTERNATES” is now available! This is a 2CD and 1DVD collector’s edition with the latest remastered remix album and rehearsal sound source, remix sound source co-starring with the legendary Elton John, and a video collection that includes valuable existing footage. CD1 includes the latest remixes and remasters of “Alternate Album” and “Live with Elton John 1974” in which all songs from the album are mixed separately. “Alternate Album” is a new stereo mixdown from a 4-channel multi-track that is different from a normal stereo mix, and it not only has different separation (sound localization), but also the balance of vocals and instruments, as well as the take and song. Compared to the previous mono/stereo albums, the lengths are different, making it a completely different mix album. “Live with Elton John 1974” is well known as John’s last live performance at the now legendary Madison Square Garden, but it is completely recorded with a different mix from the originally released live sound source. You can hear a realistic mix with different localization of vocals and instruments, and even greater separation and spread. Extras include promo single versions and radio spots. CD2 includes “Studio Rehearsal”. Although it is a rehearsal, the completeness is high, and the naked version before overdubs has a charm that the finished version does not have, where the vocals and instruments are transmitted directly, and this is another alternative album that is worth listening to. Additionally, an alternate mix from “Menrobe Avenue” is also included. The DVD includes video versions and film outtakes of the singles “Midnight wo Tossore” and “Yume no Yume (#9DREAM)” as “Walls and Bridges: Video Collection.” Unfortunately, the co-starring scene with the legendary Elton John is not complete, but it includes the existing film footage released at Elton’s side and two versions edited based on it. Other interviews and Grammy Award presenters are recorded in higher quality than previously circulated videos and YouTube, so you won’t want to miss it.
