Description

Two and a half months have passed since the band reunited at the O2 Arena. A special program featuring Jimmy Page, who is currently in Japan, has been scheduled for release. This film contains the now defunct music program “Ontama (Sound Soul).” This is a special program on Jimmy Page. This program was a mini program that aired late at night from 2005 to 2012, lasting about five minutes each. Each time, one artist was invited to the program, and the interview was conducted in a question-and-answer format. As many of you may remember, Page appeared on this program in late February 2008. This was when he was in Japan to promote his best album “MOTHERSHIP,” and the program was featured five times on February 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th. This DVD covers all of that. The content is very personal. Although each episode is five minutes long, each episode has its own unique features, so let’s summarize it briefly. The first episode (broadcast on February 25th) begins with five light questions and jabs. While examining the process of aspiring to be a musician, such as the first record he ever bought and his childhood. He also briefly touches on “MOTHERSHIP,” a key point at the time. Episode 2 (aired February 26th) The theme of the next day is “Visiting Japan.” He will delve into the legendary first visit to Japan, his impressions of Japan, and the biggest interest at the time, “the return of the reunited LED ZEPPELIN to Japan.” Since the answers would be long at once, they were condensed into three questions, and Page’s answers are also passionate. In particular, his suggestive smile about the reunion tour is very impressive. Episode 3 (aired February 27th) The third night’s theme is “live.” As mentioned above, it was only two and a half months after the reunion at the O2 Arena. Mr. Page himself still has fresh memories, and his words about the day are real and full of passion. Episode 4 (aired February 28th) The theme of the fourth night is “Japan.” Mr. Page talks about sightseeing in Japan and sushi. Of course (?) he doesn’t mention his visit to Nishi-Shinjuku (laughs). I think they probably filmed five nights at once, but the delicious topics that attract interest, such as their first visit to Japan and reunion tour, are solidified in the beginning, and the fourth night is a bit slack. The fifth and final episode (broadcast on February 29th) does not have a specific theme, and they answer immediately what they associate with keywords. Up until now, there were about 3-5 questions per episode, but in the final episode, there are 11 questions. The part where the other three members of ZEP are described in one word is also a bit thrilling. A total of five episodes. In fact, the interview part can be viewed on a certain major video site, but this work is a unique master provided by a record enthusiast. Not only the main program, but also the nostalgic commercials sandwiched in between are fully recorded. And it is interesting that the commercials bring out the reality of “2008”. First of all, it is a sense of the times before the smartphone revolution. In fact, the iPhone and Android had already been announced at that time (2007), but the big explosion had not yet occurred. This program is sponsored by a certain telecommunications company, and the main focus is flip-phones (!). They proudly hold up new models with small screens and push ringtone and wallpaper services. They end by touting free email services, saying, “Hey, hey, it costs money to receive emails!” The weight of 17 years is oozing out of this. The other commercials also feel relatively recent, but when you look closely, you can see the era. The Nintendo DS is still new, and the catchphrase for the new TV is “Let’s go to the Beijing Olympics!” In the canned coffee commercial, Kin Cha â—‹ is lively, and Takizawa Hide â—‹, who is now a company president, is also idol-like. What’s even more vivid are the hit songs. “Ontama” is a music program, so charts appear at various points along the way, and there are a lot of familiar names on there, such as SMAP, Arashi, the black enka singer Jero, BENNIE K, and Yanawaraba. Six months after this film, Jimmy Page will be playing the guitar at the Beijing Olympics, which is being advertised in a commercial. 2008 was also the time when the whole world turned to him. This is a film that overflows with the feeling of that era. A special program in Japan featuring Jimmy Page has been released. It is a late-night program in the form of a question and answer session, and all five episodes are recorded in full, including the nostalgic commercials. This is a film that captures the feeling of the era, two and a half months after the reunion at the O2 Arena. Broadcast Dates: 25th-29th February 2008 25th February 2008 1. CM 2. Interview 3.
