Description
“REAL LIVE Tour” where each performance was a countdown to the end of the golden era. A live album that allows you to experience the scene at its best is now available. What is engraved in this work is “April 23, 1993 Gothenburg performance”. This is an exquisite audience recording. Speaking of 1993, in addition to the official video “RAISING HELL” which was Bruce Dickinson’s last show, live performances from various places were included in “A Real DEAD One”. The tour overview will be given to the simultaneously released “BERLIN 1993 THE VIDEO” commentary, and here we will zoom in on 1993 month by month and check the show’s position. The Gothenburg performance of this work was one such act in April, and was the 18th concert of the European tour, which had a total of 44 performances. This work, which recorded a show that could be included in “A Real DEAD One”, is a clear and beautiful recording. The two guitars have a slightly recessed balance, so you won’t mistake it for a sound board, but the powerful vocals and booming bass might make you mistake it. Bruce’s singing voice is particularly strong, and every word is clear and clear. What’s even more amazing is the stability and beauty of the sound. The hall sound, which conveys the contours of each note neatly and adds dynamism without being muddy, is just neat. It is so beautiful that it reminds me of Kinney recordings, and even has a sparkling feel to it. I think it’s just a coincidence, but it’s a beautiful recording that perfectly fits the phrase “the clear air of Scandinavia.” What is depicted with such a Scandinavian sound is a full show unique to the “REAL LIVE Tour”, which also includes a large amount of classical music. The official double series “A Real LIVE One” and “A Real DEAD One” were edited into “Before/After the Resurrection of the Dead”, so let’s organize them here as well, using the bottom as a section. Before “Resurrection” (10 songs)・Steel Maiden: Prowler/Transylvania/Remember Tomorrow/Iron Maiden/Sanctuary・Magic Mark: The Number Of The Beast/Run To The Hills/Hallowed Be Thy Name・Brain Reform: The Trooper・Powerslave: 2 Minutes To Midnight After “Resurrection” (10 songs)・Somewhere in Time: Wasted Years (★)/Heaven Can Wait・Seventh Prophecy: The Evil That Men Do/The Clairvoyant・No・Player for the Dying: Bring Your Daughter… To The Slaughter ・Fear of the Dark: Be Quick Or Be Dead/From Here To Eternity/Wasting Love/Afraid To Shoot Strangers/Fear Of The Dark *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard in the official video “A Real LIVE/DEAD One”. …and it looks like this. Not only “RAISING HELL” but also “Wasted Years”, which you can’t listen to even if you listen to “LIVE AT DONINGTON”, “A Real LIVE One” and “A Real DEAD One” all together, is delicious, but what is more important than that is the full experience. After all, “A Real DEAD One”, which is full of classics, was also a compilation of live takes of each song, so it was not possible to enjoy one show as it flowed. This work allows you to experience the full show of “REAL LIVE Tour” on-site, which you could not experience with the official work. And speaking of the check point of “REAL LIVE Tour”, it is the condition of the blues. It is also famous that Bruce, who was scheduled to leave the band, gave a shoddy performance during this tour, angering Steve Harris and Nico McBrain. There was also a terrible show where Steve said, “I was just mumbling without motivation.” So, what about this work? When I say that…I feel like, “It’s getting a little weird.” At least he’s not just mumbling, he’s doing a good job, but from the second half of “The Clairvoyant” onwards, he doesn’t go as high as he wants, and the lyrics start to sound like they’re talking. Since he sings the difficult song “Run To The Hills” and speaks quickly “Hallowed Be Thy Name”, there seems to be no problem with his throat, but it seems like he loses concentration here and there… It’s not at all “terrible”, but I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not good enough when compared to the tremendous vocalization of “BERLIN 1993 THE VIDEO” at the beginning of the tour. Instead of such blues (?), the four members of the musical instrument corps are greatly improved from “BERLIN 1993”. To be honest, there were some scenes in Berlin that made me nervous, but in this work, the chaotic feeling disappeared and the ensemble was tight. From Steve’s point of view, it seemed like the blues didn’t follow the rising band… “REAL LIVE Tour” made the stubborn but gentle Steve even say, “I really wanted to kill Bruce.” Due to the abundance of official works, audience records tend to be overlooked, and it cannot be said that the steps toward collapse are clear yet. This work is the first step in developing delicious classical music and unexplored performances. A masterpiece live album from the last “REAL LIVE Tour” of the golden era. This is an excellent audience recording of “April 23, 1993 Gothenburg Performance”. It is a clear and well-known recording, and the booming bass and blues singing voice is very clear and clear, down to every single word. This is a beautiful recording that perfectly fits the phrase “the clear air of Scandinavia.” Unlike the official version “A REAL DEAD ONE”, which was reconstructed song by song, this is a live album that allows you to experience a full show with plenty of classics as it happened on the spot.
