Description
INXS rose to become the darling of the era in 1988 with their famous album “KICK”. The super best original recording is now available. What is engraved in this work is “February 8, 1988 Leicester performance”. This is a transcendent audience album. Speaking of 1988, it was a great time when they even came to Japan. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the whole story of the world tour that trampled the world with the famous album. 1987, August 14th-29th: Australia (9 performances), September 13th: Norfolk performance [KICK released on October 12th], October 16th-November 23rd: North America #1 (27th) Performances)・December 2nd-14th: UK (10 performances) 1988・February 5th-26th: Europe #1 (15 performances)←★Here★・March 1st-31st: North America #2 (22 performances) ・May 18th – June 18th: North America #3 (23 performances) ・June 22nd – July 11th: Europe #2 (12 performances) ・August 3rd – September 25th : North America #4 (36 performances) October 1st-10th: Japan (7 performances) October 14th-November 13th: Oceania (19 performances) This is the overall picture of the climax tour. The UK performance of “KICK TOUR” started in 1987, but it restarted in February 1988 after the year-end and New Year holidays. The Leicester performance of this work was the third concert of “Europe #1” which decorates the beginning. This work, which contains such a show, is a tremendous audience recording that makes you want to line up two or three “super” songs. It is made into a CD directly from the original cassette given by the recording artist himself, and the recording artist himself is the master master “Crazy S.”. He is a world-famous artist who produced many masterpieces throughout the 1980s, but his heyday came from 1986 to 1988. “Crazy S.”’s works over the past three years have been a series of divinely high-quality sound. This work is a transcendental recording that is the peak of such a master craftsman. In fact, the sound of this work is strange. Since it is the master of the person who recorded it, there is no doubt that it is an audience recording, but the extremely on core is forever powerful, and the detailed details are like a sound board. If you can’t feel the distance, there’s no cloudiness or turbidity, and it’s a wonderful sound that you would believe if you were told, “It’s an FM broadcast with real cheers.” The show drawn with such transcendent quality is also the pinnacle. After all, this is the scene where an extraordinary “KICK” whirlwind has just begun to rage. In the set, all songs from “KICK” except for “Never Tear Us Apart” will be played on a large scale, and past repertoire will be interspersed with it. Even among past songs, there are many hit singles such as “SHABOOH SHOOBAH”, “THE SWING”, and “LISTEN LIKE THIEVES”. In fact, out of the 21 songs in this album, the only songs that are not new or singles are “Shine Like It Does” and “One X One.” Of course, they also perform “I Send A Message”, which had a huge impact on the temple PV (I can still picture the line of monks slowly walking to the beat…). It is truly a “live performance version of KICK + α” show, but the on-site feeling of this work is far from that. The potential of the band that created the great album is fueled by the wind of the big hit, and the band’s potential explodes into a frenzy. And the enthusiasm that witnessed the performance was amazing. I would like to remind you that the main characters of this work are the very close performance sound and the late Michael Hutchence’s singing voice, and it does not waver even one millimeter. However, beyond that loud sound, a vast yellow enthusiasm spreads out. As soon as the super-thick performance stopped and the MC started, tearing voices flew from everywhere, and the chorus singing the chorus of the hit song was loud (albeit small). Buoyed by that enthusiasm, hit songs were performed with even more heated performances… This synergistic effect is truly at its peak and climax. It is full of the power of the goddess’ smile that many artists/bands can experience once in their lives. INXS is at its peak, and “Crazy S.” is in the midst of its heyday. This is a masterpiece that was made possible because both the band and the recording artist believed in it. A live album where you can experience the “real 100% version of KICK” with ultra-high quality sound that is typical of a sound board, while feeling the ultra-realistic excitement of climax that would not be possible with a sound board. This is a cultural heritage of rock history that is no longer just a “good show with good sound”.
