Description
Even if there are hundreds or thousands of recordings of GUNS N’ ROSES, if it becomes a “special among specials”, this one is the only one. Yes, the tragic “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1988” that left two people dead has been revived on CD! GUNS N’ ROSES first appeared on stage at the sacred Donington in 1988, when they were sweeping the world as the darlings of their time. Although they made a shocking debut that turned the music industry upside down, they are still in their short careers and will be the second performers. However, a fatal accident occurred that changed even the history of the prestigious “MONSTERS OF ROCK”. There have been recordings of this show since then, but all of them had poor sound quality. What changed the situation completely was “Don’t Fuckin’ Kill Each Other,” recorded by Crazy S. and released on the LANGLEY label in 2002. Enthusiasts around the world were shocked by the clear sound and uncut recording. It was a memorable piece that announced to the world that “Super Taper “Crazy.S” is here!” and marked the beginning of the company’s meteoric rise. In fact, even if I listen to it with my current ears who know a lot of Crazy.S’s recordings, the sound of this work is amazing. Mr. Crazy.S also recorded IRON MAIDEN, which decorated the night of this day, and in “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1988: 25th Anniversary Edition” using that sound source and sound board sound source, “It feels strange even when mixed with the sound board sound source. There’s nothing like it!” However, this work even surpasses that IRON MAIDEN edition! This work is one of the most amazingly high-quality songs in the master Crazy.S collection, and has been further refined with the latest digital remastering. Although the original sound source always remained high quality, the nuances of the sound were changing rapidly. However, in this work, the excessive points from the low range to the mid range have been adjusted to improve the sense of separation between each instrument. For example, if you listen to “It’s So Easy,” you’ll notice that the prominent high notes have become more natural, making it much easier to listen to. And the reason why this work is “special among specials” is the content of the live performance. In the PV for “Paradise City,” you can see the large crowd at Donnington, which resembles a pulsating ocean, and that is exactly the scene of this work. A strange atmosphere wafts from the opening, and the first song “It’s So Easy” begins. Yes, this one song is exactly the moment when two people were crushed to death. The audience was so excited that they didn’t even realize that someone had died during the performance, and they started the second song. However, at this point, the band probably felt like, “This is going to be crazy…” and couldn’t move on to the next song. Axl Rose and Slash both called on the audience to calm down, and a number of ferocious MCs such as “Hey, stand back, stand back!”, “Calm down!”, “Don’t kill each other!”, “Get out!”, etc. I can hear it clearly (I’m really glad Mr. Crazy.S is safe…). Even with such an MC here and there, the performance is truly wonderful. Even though it feels dangerous, the awesomeness of GUNS N’ ROSES, which is taking the world by storm, overflows even when I try to suppress it. If they were to suddenly leave the stage, it would be a riot, but that doesn’t mean it would be impossible to listen to a live performance like this and be told to calm down… In order to calm the audience, it is said that the set list was suddenly rearranged on this day, and even at the end of the show, which would have been played up, the slow songs “Patience” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine” were brought in. At the end of “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” which sounds like a requiem, the album ends with the words “Great fuckin’ day!!” that are neither ironic nor desperate. “MONSTERS OF ROCK”, which resulted in many deaths, was canceled the following year in 1989 for the first time in history, and it was 18 years later in 2006 that GUNS N’ ROSES returned to the sacred place of Donington. GUNS N’ ROSES continues to produce many anecdotes after this, but among them, the 46 minutes included in this work is a super big incident. This is a vacuum-packed album that captures the whole story of a tragedy that no one expected, with the clearest, most realistic super sound. A live album? No, this is a document album that turns your shelf into a historical archive. Live at Castle Donington, England 20th August 1988 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters)(45:53) 1. Intro. 2.
