Description
The new European tour of the “Not In This Lifetime Tour”, which continued in 2018, will start on June 3rd in Berlin, Germany, and a total of 19 performances are scheduled by July 24th. The first day of the tour, Berlin, and the live performance in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on June 12th, are both recorded in full from high-quality audience masters. The clarity and the overwhelming sound that you wouldn’t expect from a stadium are astounding, and the incredible recording technique is from the original master of the taper, which is famous in Europe. First of all, the Berlin performance lasted for 2 hours and 38 minutes, and while the basic set composition was not much different from the long-term world tour of the previous year, what surprised me was in the middle, when Axel played Velvet Revolver’s “Slither” after the MC “I’m going to try this, I hope you like it” before the performance. Of course, this was the first time Guns performed this song live, and while it was a candidate for the set list of the 2016 tour, this was the first time it was performed as a tribute to Scott Weiland, who passed away suddenly in December 2015. The Gelsenkirchen performance on the 12th was the longest performance at the beginning of the tour, lasting 3 hours and 10 minutes, and the set content was almost the same as the Berlin performance, with the much-anticipated “Slither” also being played, and “Shadow Of Your Love”, which was performed live for the first time in 31 years at the Denmark performance, was also firmly set on this day. Incidentally, this number was written by Axl and Izzy when they were in Hollywood Roses, the predecessor band of Guns, and was included in the compilation album “The Roots Of Guns ‘N’ Roses” in the past, and was also released as a single in advance from the box set “Appetite: Locked N’ Loaded Edition” to be released at the end of June, so it seems to have been included in the set on this day as well. There are other songs that are replaced, so all of them are must-listen collector’s editions for fans. disc 1 : 1. INTRO/2. IT’S SO EASY/3. MR. BROWNSTONE/4. CHINESE DEMOCRACY/5.
