Description
It’s still February, but Guns N’ Roses are already the hot topic of discussion as “the biggest shock of 2017”. Here are the fastest reports! Last week, we brought you the masterpiece recording of the first day’s Osaka performance, “LIVE OSAKA 2017”, and this is the second release. It is a special live album that includes the performance at “January 22, 2017: Kobe World Memorial Hall”!! The title of this reunion tour is “NOT IN THIS LIFETIME”, a line that Axl once said when asked about Slash’s return. As the words suggest, the fact that it was realized was miraculous, and the contents of the tour are also worthy of the name of a miracle, and they have been met with a storm of praise. After ravaging North and South America, they have finally come to Japan. There have been a lot of titles last week and this week, so let’s organize them here.・January 21: “LIVE OSAKA 2017” ・January 22: [This work] ・January 25: “LIVE YOKOHAMA 2017” ・January 28: “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2017 DAY 1” ・January 29: Saitama Super Arena performance All five performances. The final day, which took place just the day before yesterday, was not in time, but the other four performances appeared at once. This work is the audience album of Kobe, the second performance among them. Of course, this work is not only the fastest. Saitama Super Arena was a last-minute release, but the first three performances arrived at our shop one after another. This work is a carefully selected top-class gem among them. It is a type that is called “just like a sound board”. There is no doubt that it is an audience recording because it is the original master provided by the recording artist, but the direct sound like a slap is so amazing that even line recording runs away barefoot. For example, you can see the subtle movements of Axel’s microphone touching his mouth or moving away from it. At the same time, the applause and cheers are vivid, but the balance is so strange that it feels strange. I don’t know the exact recording position, but I wonder if it was very close to the PA… The Kobe performance depicted with such a sound is an intense show that surpasses the wonderful first day in Osaka! In Osaka, I thought, “Axel is 54 years old, but he’s doing his best,” but in this work, he is even better. Of course, it’s not the same as 24 years ago, but the chameleon voice that only he can produce is also a vivid singing voice that “even though he’s 54 years old” is not. And even more than that, the set list. In Osaka, I was dizzy with the super famous song rush, but when I calmed down, it was a little shorter than overseas. However, in this work’s Kobe performance, two songs were added (“Attitude” and “Patience” were dropped, and “New Rose”, “Out Ta Get Me”, “Sorry”, and “Don’t Cry” were set in), and it was at the same level as the overseas performances. The set for each show on this Japan tour is different, and I think the best songs will vary depending on your preferences, but it’s simply nice to have so many songs. Combined with the band’s good performance, this is even more satisfying and satisfying than Osaka. Following on from LIVE OSAKA 2017, which was well received for being “the fastest yet with an amazing sound,” this is the second release, which has been further improved in both quality and quantity. This is a masterpiece that absorbs the reorganized GUNS N’ ROSES, who are finally getting on a roll, into the best sound. The “real thing” that has shone in Japan for the first time in 24 years.
