Description
An irregular singularity live performance that was realized in one act of “Revolutionary 1987”. The legendary soundboard album that pours the whole story into your brain is reprinted. What is engraved in this work is “Pasadena performance on December 30, 1987”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. What is singular is the lineup. During the US tour, Steven Adler broke his arm in a bar fight and temporarily left. While he was out, Fred Khoury of CINDERELLA served as a substitute. When did such a special lineup come into existence? First of all, let’s look at the overall picture of the legendary “APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION Tour” and explore the position of this work. 1987 June 19-28: Marquee (3 shows) {July 21st: APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION released} August 1st-September 17th: North America #1 (24 shows) September 29th-October 8th: Europe (8 shows) October 16th-December 12th: North America #2a (41 shows) *RITZ 1987 {Steven Adler breaks bone → Fred Coury joins} December 17th-31st: North America #2b (8 shows) ********* 1988 January 5th: Santa Monica show {Steven Adler returns} January 14th-February 12th: North America #3 (12 shows) *RITZ 1988 March 31st – June 8th: North America #4 (30 performances) July 9th – August 17th: North America #5a (24 performances) August 20th: Donington performance August 24th – September 17th: North America #5b (15 performances) November 29th “G N’ R LIES” released December 4th – 10th: Japan (5 performances) December 14th – 19th: Oceania (4 performances) This is the 1987/1988 GUNS N’ ROSES that turned the world upside down. Stephen broke his leg during “North America #2”, and Fred was a substitute for him at nine performances from December 17th to January 5th, 1988. The Pasadena performance in this work was the seventh concert. The “North America #2b” also has the superlative audience recording “CHICAGO 1987 (Zodiac 262)”, but this work was 12 days later. This show has long been known for the masterpiece sound boards that have been left behind, and it is a staple that has produced many previously released groups. Among them, our smash hit “PASADENA 1987 FINAL NIGHT” was highly praised as the best master. It is a press masterpiece released in 2017, the 30th anniversary, but it has continued to be the highest peak that has never been surpassed since then. This work is a reprint that precisely revives such an eternal masterpiece. In fact, its quality is superlative even to today’s ears. As a type, it is not a polished FM broadcast or official style, but a direct connection to the mix table, and the rawness of the unprocessed rawness and the roughness of the recording that sometimes changes the mix balance are far from perfect. However, the master freshness is extremely fresh, there is no dubbing deterioration, and there is no twisting or hiss noise that was scattered throughout the entire work in the previous release. The immersive feeling unique to the table-direct sound board is also tremendous, and the live performance in 1987 is completely in sync with the whole body, so you can immerse your whole body in a different dimension of synchronization. Such a legendary sound board depicts a delicious single full set of the entire “APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION Tour”. In fact, most of the “North America # 2b” in which Fred participated was an opening act for Alice Cooper, and the aforementioned “CHICAGO 1987” was also a short set. To be more specific, the super masterpiece “RITZ 1988 DEFINITIVE EDITION”, which is said to be the masterpiece of the “APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION Tour”, is also a short set. In contrast, this work is a two-disc set lasting about 87 minutes, and is full of repertoire that cannot be heard on either. In order to let you realize the volume of the number of songs, let’s organize them here by comparing them. Appetite for Destruction (10 songs) It’s So Easy / Mr. Brownstone / Out Ta Get Me / Sweet Child O’ Mine / Used To Love Her (★★) / My Michelle / Rocket Queen (★) / Welcome To The Jungle / Nightrain / Paradise City Others (5 songs) GN’R Rise: Move To The City (★★) / You’re Crazy (★★) / Patience (★★) / Mama Kin (★) Others: Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door *Note: The “★” mark is a song that was not heard in the same period of “CHICAGO 1987”. In particular, the “★★” mark is a song that was not even in the symbolic pro shot / sound board “RITZ 1988”. …And so it is. The volume of precious songs and the mountain of songs is overwhelming, and the 10 songs of “APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION” are also powerful. All of this is poured into your brain with the potential of 1987, when the revolution was in full swing. The long line sound source of the “APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION Tour” is a cultural heritage, but it also includes the extremely rare Fred Khoury. This is the highest peak of such a miraculous soundboard album. Stereo soundboard recording of the “Pasadena Performance on December 30, 1987”. This is the highest peak, meticulously reproduced from the master of “PASADENA 1987 FINAL NIGHT”, which was highly praised as the best version, and the fresh sound that is still unsurpassed is overwhelming. This is a cultural heritage album that pours into your brain the full show in which Steven Adler temporarily left due to a fracture and CINDERELLA’s Fred Khoury took his place.
