Description

GIRL, who delivered the authentic NWOBHM sound before IRON MAIDEN, SAXON, and DEF LEPPARD. The highest peak version set of the two major sound sources that symbolize their legendary first visit to Japan is now available. This work was recorded at two performances held at the Asakusa International Theater on November 29, 1980. It is a two-disc set with the best audience recording of the day performance on DISC 1 and the stereo sound board recording of the evening performance on DISC 2. Speaking of their first visit to Japan, not only the familiar masterpiece “OSAKA 1980” but also “NAGOYA 1980” was released at the same time. It can be confusing, so let’s start by organizing the collection with the schedule of their first visit to Japan.・November 28th: Official “TOKYO TEASE”・November 29th: Asakusa International Theater (daytime performance) ←★This work Disc 1★・November 29th: Asakusa International Theater (nighttime performance) ←★This work Disc 2★・December 1st “OSAKA 1980″・December 2nd “NAGOYA 1980″※Note: Only representative works on each day. All five performances over four days. Recently, the live album “TOKYO TEASE -FIRST JAPAN TOUR 1980-” from the first day was unearthed, but the two performances in this work are completely different live performances at the same venue. However, it is not a new sound source, but the highest peak version of the famous sound source that has symbolized GIRL’s first visit to Japan. Now, let’s introduce each disc individually. [DISC 1: The best audience recording of the daytime performance] The first performance on DISC 1 is the daytime performance at the Asakusa International Theater. This is the best audience recording. This recording is actually a traditional record that has long represented GIRL’s first visit to Japan. It was a master unearthed as a half-official record about 15 years ago, and has attracted many fans because of its wonderful sound. The core is strong, the air is crystal clear, and the details are extremely fine. The sound of the sound is audience-like (if you are a modern maniac with a discerning ear), so you won’t mistake it for a sound board, but if you don’t understand half-official, you might think it’s a “slightly rough excavated FM sound source”… that’s the level of clarity. Moreover, this work is the highest peak update of such traditional recordings. The original sound, which was fluffy, has been reborn crisply, but what’s even bigger is the pitch. After all, the half-official record was out of sync by more than a semitone, and Philip Lewis’ vocals were rough and in a “Who are you?” state. It’s been properly aligned, and Phil’s own singing voice, which cannot be mistaken, has been firmly revived. [DISC 2: The longest/highest quality soundboard recording of the evening performance] The following DISC 2 is a stereo soundboard recording of the Asakusa International Theater (evening performance). In the first place, when GIRL first came to Japan, FM broadcasting was famous at a certain broadcasting association, and the FM soundboard reigned as a symbol. This disc is the longest and highest quality sound version of that soundboard. First of all, the longest. The FM broadcast was only in the second half of the show, but later a full-length soundboard was excavated. This work is based on that full-length version. However, the FM broadcast sounded (slightly) better than that long master. So this work replaces the second half with the FM broadcast version. It has been finished so that you can enjoy the whole work with the best sound that exists. In particular, at the end of the show, the DJ of the ending of the set is also recorded. It is a valuable thing that only this master has left. However, just replacing the second half is not the “highest peak sound”. This work has been brushed up on the whole thing and “updated” the highest peak. The first half of the long sound board has been reborn with a sharp sound without any fluffy feeling, and the connection with the FM sound board in the second half is extremely natural. If the connection part is not mentioned … no, it is so seamless that it is hard to understand, and this disc itself is the best live album that is the “official substitute”. Finally, let’s organize the set that can be enjoyed with the longest record (same for both day and night performances). Fixed songs (14 songs) ・ Sheer Greed: Heartbreak America / Little Miss Ann / Passing Clouds / Strawberries / My Number / Lovely Lorraine / Hollywood Tease ・ Wasted Youth: Wasted Youth / Nice ‘n’ Nasty / Old Dogs / 19 / Overnight Angels ・ Others: White Prophets / Born To Be Wild (STEPPENWOLF) Daily songs (2 songs) ・ Doctor Doctor / Black Max A famous recording that has represented GIRL’s first visit to Japan for many years, and the longest version of the symbolic sound board. This is a definitive set that refining two traditional recordings with 2022 technology and updating the highest peak. You can enjoy it as a sequel to the much-talked-about official excavation “TOKYO TEASE”, or aim to complete all performances by combining it with “OSAKA 1980” and “NAGOYA 1980”. A delicious two-disc set for fans of all ages. That scent only NWOBHM can provide. A live album set of “November 29, 1980: Asakusa International Theater (day and night performance)”. This is a two-disc set with the best audience recording of the day performance on DISC 1 and the stereo soundboard recording of the night performance on DISC 2. The day performance (DISC 1) is a traditional recording that has become half-official, and is the best version that corrects the pitch that was significantly out of sync. The night performance (DISC 2) is the longest and highest quality version that combines two types of soundboards. This is a definitive set that upgrades the two recordings that have represented GIRL’s first visit to Japan for many years.
