This is an item that combines a wonderful video and audio that will be a lifelong memory for fans of George Harrison and Eric Clapton. It has been 20 years since George Harrison passed away. With the anniversary of John Lennon’s death on December 8th and the anniversary of that on November 29th, a difficult time will come for Beatles fans. We have selected a source of memories to keep the great artist George Harrison in our hearts forever. This is a two-disc set of DVD and CD, and contains the video of “Great Friends” that was broadcast on a certain TV station in 1991, and the complete recording of the press conference of George Harrison and Eric Clapton held during their visit to Japan in 1991. “Great Friends” was a Japanese-produced program that caught George and Eric just before their Japan tour, and interviewed them about interesting topics such as guitars and their friendship. Here, George, looking fresh and youthful after shaving his beard, answers questions with a lot of humor, and Eric answers politely while showing respect to George. It’s a very rich 30 minutes. Many fans may have seen it at the time, but why not take this opportunity to keep a permanent copy of George and Eric’s two-shot in the form of a DVD-R? The CD also contains a complete recording of the entire press conference held in 1991 at the Hotel Capital Tokyu, the same hotel where The Beatles held their 1966 press conference, recorded on DAT by a person who attended. This time, the master is released exclusively with the sound provided by the attendees, and is a completely new release. The sound quality is surprisingly clear, with the questioner’s voice, the interpreter’s voice, and George and Eric’s answers all clearly captured, and there is nothing difficult to hear. The questions ranged from general to niche, and were very interesting for fans of the two. I think it would be a good opportunity to confirm the feelings the two had on the Japan tour and listen to the live recordings of the Japan performance. This is probably the only take of this press conference recorded on DAT tape instead of cassette, so I am sure that fans will be impressed by George’s voice, which will sound much clearer than ever before. This is a recommended memorial set.
