Description

In 1982, AC/DC was at its peak in both name and reality, with their song “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU)” reaching No. 1 in the US. Introducing a masterpiece of a sound board that will fill your brain with that stage. What is engraved in this work is “December 6, 1982 Brussels performance”. This is the soundboard recording. For AC/DC enthusiasts, “1980-1982” is too special. Not only is it a commercial peak and a series of studio masterpieces, but the live performances are simply amazing. In 1983, Phil Rudd, who left the group, became the “Golden Five”, and the band was on the verge of great success. Especially Brian Johnson, who just joined the group, is overwhelming, and his shrieking voice has even the power to kill. After that, the “Golden Five” revived, but the real groove and the sharpness of the young roar are on a different level. AC/DC is often said to be “always the same,” but the period from 1980 to 1982 cannot be replaced by any other era. It was truly the era of its zenith. However, there are very few records of such a golden age. Not only was an official live album not made, but the few remaining soundboards were short and of poor quality… It is truly a loss to rock history that there is no definitive record of the great AC/DC at their peak. This is extremely frustrating. However, it has not completely disappeared into the darkness of history. As mentioned above, some sound boards remain, and although it is incomplete, there is “sound evidence” that conveys the ferocity of the climax. This work is one of them, and moreover, it is a historical live album that teaches us the “final climax”. In order to get a feel for it, let’s take a look at the top two tours “BACK IN BLACK TOUR” and “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK TOUR”. ●1980/June 29th-July 5th: Warm-up (6 performances)《“BACK IN BLACK” released on July 25th》/July 13th-October 11th: North America #1 (64 performances)・October 19th-December 20th: Europe #1 (47 performances) ・January 8th-25th, 1981: Europe #2 (14 performances) ・February 1st-5th: Japan #1 ( 4 performances) ・February 13th-28th: Australia (7 performances)《“FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK” released on November 23rd》》・November 14th-December 21st: North America #2 (31 performances) ● 1982, January 17th – February 25th: North America #3 (28 performances), June 4th – 10th: Japan #2 (5 performances), September 29th – October 22nd: UK (19 Performances) November 26th – December 12th: Europe #3 (10 performances) ←★Here★ This was AC/DC’s peak era. The majestic world tour, including two visits to Japan, is just amazing (it is strange that a full sound board was not left even though there were so many performances…). Even so, the Brussels performance of this work is the final stage of the second half. This was the 7th concert of “Europe #3”. Such a show is famous for the fact that the sound board was left behind. As I have said repeatedly, it is not a complete version and is approximately 1 hour long, but the sound is more than enough. The historical riff is hit at zero distance, and the powerful yet mellow groove and the five organs and organs are in perfect synchronization. Of course, Brian’s razor voice also invades my brain with his bare feet. The freshness of the tape is excellent, with minimal tape twisting or deterioration, making it seem like AC/DC from 37 years ago is raging in your head. Also, although it is short, the content is very rich. Let’s organize the contents here. ●Bon Scott era (6 songs)・The Jack, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Bad Boy Boogie, Whole Lotta Rosie, Sin City, Highway To Hell ●BACK IN BLACK (5 songs)・Hells Bells, Have A Drink On Me , Shoot To Thrill, Back In Black, Rock ‘N Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution… and so on. During the Bonn era, the best songs were evenly selected from each album, and the rest were all “BACK IN BLACK”. Speaking of “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK TOUR,” you can expect to hear new songs “C.O.D.,” “Put the Finger on You,” “Let’s Get It Up,” and “Inject the Venom,” which are extremely rare in AC/DC’s history. However, unfortunately it has been completely omitted. Instead, it is a super concentrated best, but the one that catches your attention is “Have A Drink On Me.” This song was not played on “BACK IN BLACK TOUR” and first appeared in 1982. Even if the full sound board of 1980/1981 is discovered in the future, it will not be recorded, and the sound board record that can be heard at the peak era performance is extremely valuable. AC/DC’s peak was the peak of rock music. Although it’s a shame that it’s about an hour long, it’s nothing but bliss to be able to enjoy such extreme hard rock’n’roll with a synchronized feeling that penetrates your brain. A soundboard album that concentrates the best of the golden era with intense live performances. There are no cuts or noises at the divide points that have been a problem in the past, and you can listen from beginning to end with the best sound board without stress. Of course, the pitch is also accurate. Live at Forest National, Brussels 6th December 1982 SBD (61:32) 1. Hells Bells 2. Have A Drink On Me 3. Sin City 4. Shoot To Thrill 5. Back In Black 6.
