Genesis/Bergium 1974 & more

From the Euro tour accompanying the release of the album “Selling England By The Pound” in 1974, the performances in Brussels, Belgium on January 26th and Winterthur, Switzerland on the 28th, two days later, were recorded from good audience masters for the time. Although neither is complete, it is a valuable recording that has been unearthed for the first time in recent years, and almost all of the highlights of the show are captured. Peter also used headgear more than any other on this tour, and the real excitement of the audience during the MC, which makes full use of them, is as interesting to listen to as the songs themselves. The set list is also the best selection in the band’s history, and you can hear “Harold The Barrel”, which was rarely performed in Belgium, the short piece “More Fool Me” featuring Phil Collins, and the 24-minute “Supper’s Ready”, all of which were great performances with a sense of tension throughout the entire show.
