Description

In 1972, after the release of his masterpiece “From Vienna with Art”, a live performance in Vienna, Austria from his European tour with Jimmy Heath, who had recently passed away, was rebroadcast. This is a live masterpiece of European hard bop recorded with top-rank sound quality. Jimmy Heath and Reshek Zadro are on the saxophone, Fritz Pauer, who is well-regarded by European piano fans, is on the piano, Jimmy Wood, a great bassist who was active in Europe, and Australian drummers are on the drums. The backing is backed by a super talented member called Fritz Ootsmets, who was a member of the Orff Big Band, an extremely talented group. Like the studio version “From Vienna With Art”, it plays cool and stylish jazz, and Art Farmer’s Ruegelhorn is of course included, but Jimmy Heath’s saxophone is also a great sound source that you should pay attention to.
