Description
The best and greatest video of Eric Clapton in 1990, the full-length pro-shot video of “Orchestra Night” is miraculously re-released! Eric Clapton in 1990 was a time when he had super long hair, was dressed in a Versace suit, and was a splendid and sophisticated man with a black Strat. There was a sense of dignity backed by a career that had been at the top of the rock world for many years. At this point, he worked on a performance project as a culmination of his career, which included a consecutive performance record at the Royal Albert Hall. In 1990, he performed 18 nights in a row. It was an unprecedented stage that consisted of four band forms: 4-piece, 13-piece, blues night, and orchestra night. A digest of these performances was released as the official live DVD & CD “24 NIGHTS”, but the “Orchestral Night” that fans were most interested in and that Clapton himself said was “the most difficult” only contained a few songs and titles that were far from conveying the true essence of the show. Clapton, who cannot read music, plays with an orchestra that only relies on the score. Clapton has to completely memorize the development and phrases, and the orchestra only looks at the conductor’s baton and plays only the notes on the score. Will these two really match? Will the rhythm be off? If Clapton makes a mistake, will he lose track of the development? Such worries also created great expectations. This is the only video that captures Clapton’s appearance, exposing the whole picture to the light of day and proving his perfect musicianship. There is a time code at the bottom of the screen, the sound is a mono sound board, and there are some parts where a slight analog noise due to aging enters the sound, but this board, which allows you to watch the entire show in clear color, is a video that not only Clapton fans but all rock fans should watch. The orchestra overlaps with the blues of Robert Johnson, whom Clapton is fascinated by. Johnson himself would never have imagined such a scene. Aside from such highlights, the highlight of this show is “Concerto For Electric Guitar,” which conductor Michael Kamen wrote for this day. The breathtaking competition between Clapton and the orchestra, which lasts for 30 minutes through parts 1 and 2, can be said to be an epoch that should be engraved in rock history. Sometimes sad, sometimes majestic, sometimes gentle, sometimes heroic. Here is the result of a man who knew all about how to reflect the heart on the instrument called the guitar. You can’t talk about Clapton without watching this! Live at The Royal Albert Hall, London, UK 9th February 1990 PRO-SHOT(from Original Masters) Disc 1 1. Introduction 2. Layla Introduction 3.
